sh*t! thats what i mean when i say that cars are so fragile; my front wheel hitting the kerb has caused about £800 worth of damage, and as im 3rd party its coming out of my fookin pocket!
just out of interest dave, did you get the bodyshop or a garage to repair it? not sure where to take mine...
can i just ask the really basic q - how do you explain simply in words the diff between torque and bhp? i know in my head the diff, but my mate asked me to explain it the other day and i couldnt!
Yeah i agree, and am from "that world" - i am a die-hard muso myself, and am teaching music tech at the mo. I agree you need a decent cable with sufficient shielding and low interference, but the point was trying to make is that there is a trend amongst people (and me included!) to look at...
im not sure if you could get to the positive feed that goes to the cig lighter easily as ive never been in a cup, but when i did some on gengars car we had two under seat neons and a boot neon (see his pics in ICE gallery under hon chan) wired into a switch next to the fog light switch. the...
ok but in the end doesnt come down to what your ears actually hear? i think there is a bit of a problem where peopel get too bogged down in statistical information and forget that the most important finished product is the sound that you hear, not the figures on paper. while i see what tom is...
oh no need to show off now on your shiny hew alpine! how is it anyway? fisured it all out yet? that time delay thing sounds cool, does it actually make much difference?
ok, but on the wiring side, i would be careful about how much you spend on cabling; in my opinion, as long as you get wiring...
hon mate couldnt you find something else to spend the dosh on - i really cant see the point in spending that amount on them, trust me i had this with my studio gear. its like paying £30 for performance HT leads...not to mention the ecotek...;)
id agree with gr - if you look after your motor properly i.e. regular servicing, responsible thrashing (if you wanna boot it at least wait till its warm!), and getting niggles fixed before they spread like the plague to other parts of the car then theres no reason why cars wont last a very long...
mine - gotta get it back to how it was when i bought it...gotta fix the dmage from hitting the kerb in ice, am in the process of sueing the lorry driver who went into me and wrecked my rear quarter, then she will look mint!
im modelling mine on getting as clean a motor as clean16v, but please...
gr, you can take your own oil along and tell them to put that in,but i dunno what theyd do about getting hold of a particular oil you specify, they buy the stuff they use in great big canisters!
Mobil 1 is regarded as the best...but you pay for it (lots!)
rob, magnatec is castrols flagship, their oil is the one that clings to the engine when it is cold so reducing wear.
