has anyone every orded parts from those "dial a part" places that get noationwide breakers to phone you and they then sned the parts down? I just wondered coz i can get a door sent down from preston for quite cheap - tho ive heard some horror stories about sh*t packaging and so dented and...

yeah - my bodyshop asked if it was for insurance and has quoted about a grand, but i said i may have to pay for it myself and he told me to "come back and well sort somethign out" if thats the case! Cant bame him tho, insurance companies rip everyone else off!

that is totally unreasonable mate, it really frustrates me that people can try to pull fast ones like this - like will says, get on to customer services, they really dont have a leg to stand on without proof!

got off the phone to them - they seem to think i have a case and are gonna get solicitors to begin a claim against them...thank god for free legal cover! ill keep you posted!

more trouble than its worth then i reckon mate, you aint really gonna see too much performance increase on the standard (more top-end power, but 1.4s aint never gonna be fast up there are they?!), and like paul says youve gotta find the lump first! get your first year out of the way and then...

anyone of tibbet and britton haulage company? are they a big one? im just thinking, they could go either of two ways if they are: 1. they wont care so will pay out on my damage. 2. they will have strong legal representation so will go out all guns and i may get in more trouble than its worth!

thats what i thought, but i moved over the hatched lines of the slip road to get in front of him, and as i was going to get in the outisde lane i was sidweays in the inside lane, as if pulling out from a T junction. but you have made me thought - what do you think, based on what ive told you...

just pmd ya mate kdf - what take pics while its being repaired? if so, do you reckon the bodyshop people would be a bit funny about it...no, i spose not if theyre decent (talk about answer your own q!). Should i show them a before and after pic or do you thik they might be too scared by it\?!:o

why do you wanna mate? if youre gonna do an engine swaP you may aswell put a bigger lump in at the same time - if you dont wanna do it yourself look at hillpower for their 1.6 megane conversion. i expect you could just put the 16v head on your 1.4, but would you then need to make it a multi...

just a quickie lads - when exactly do you know your bearings are gone? what symptoms are there? i know about the whining sound, but thats about it! cheers
