Hi folks,
Looking for a company who offer consistent, quick and good value prints over the 'net.
Appreciate your feedback from any you've had dealings with recently. Got probably 200+ photo's i'd like developed (mainly 5x7", but some I'd like blown up).
Cheers!
Bloatware.
The only version I'd ever run is the Enterprise edition, which actually isn't bad. I really just don't buy into this "one product for everything" which McAfee/Norton and more recently Kaspersky and Eset like to throw at Home users. I can see the point for Joe Public, but for each...
THX Certification amounts to "pay us $$$$ and we'll allow you to stamp our name on your product" it's by no means a foolproof means of judging how good kit is.
So because you wouldn't recommend a mag, I'm wrong... Ha.
There's plenty to be learnt from reading some articles, and a fine selection of HiFi stores listed in the back, which usually will offer much more competitive pricing than any local store. I agree listening in a store prior to blowing...
Go buy a What HiFi mag, there's quality kit released all the time. Personally if I was in the market for new kit I'd be buying Sonos ZP's and doing a full zoned home install via a NAS/external HDD.
Take a look at some Marrantz/NAD/Arcam stuff, or get yourself on AVforums, you'll get much better...
The nlited edition was 125mb, pretty chopped down. But they're running full installs now with a couple of things removed (games etc). I thought they'd struggle, but seemingly not.
Be nice when they release the new mobile CPU's, they sound pretty sweet.
I call bull...
The 4 Eee 904 we have run XP fine, and I mean absolutely so. Tried both full install and nlited editions - no complaints.
We use them for adhoc work, testing ports and remotely connecting over 3G to our Citrix farm.
If you go Linux (or Windows), for media download VLC...
TBH I'd have to paint the stand a neutral pastel Peach colour, to go with the rest of the room.
Guess when it's dark it's not so bad, but I mean that picture alone would probably make me be sick in my mouth if I had to look in its direction for 2 hours. You experienced anything similar?
You...
Storm really just doesn't cut it, the one we had in to test was junk compared to our iPhones, and the Touch HD we've got.

You need a (new) bird in your life mate to sort out the interior design side of things. The carpet/rub/picture have got to go! Oh and please take that plant off of your sub...
On the upside I like the stand/floorstanders; I was looking at that stand (or similar) in Selfridges the other week...
Knew there was a reason not to like you KDF; I'm no longer an admin...but luckily my IP is still an exception. Also a SQL admin, so I can tailor and trim the DB as much as I like :)
Yeah I went from a completely unfiltered enviroment to actually also being monitored by Websense, which being in IT I thought I was immune to, nope. So when some remote listening service I had installed for iPhone ran me up 430 hours internet usage in a month, I had to explain why...

Re: iphone appstore must haves?
LogMeIn - Ignition is on the Appstore, £18 though and from what I can gather that doesn't include any additional yearly subscription.
Was also looking at Ferrari Challenge or whatever it's called by Gameloft, but at £6 I'll leave it for now.
Just waiting for...
I was commenting specifically on the OP's proposed device, the Pearl. As I said I'd recommend a Bold/Curve over a pearl anyday of the week, the Pearl while smaller is a PITA to type on, a BB needs a full keyboard IMO.
But with that said, I'd still not use one for a personal device. Myself and...
Have you ever used a BB?
Sooo many better devices out there for your use. If you want a smartphone I'd recommend looking at the HTC variants, that is, if a Sony won't fit the bill.
Personally for a 32" model Id go for the V and spend the £200 on a BD player/streaming box. You're not going to benefit from 1080P on that size screen. Also worth noting SD usually looks worse on 1080P LCD than on 720P models.
Given those reasons Id go for the V.
Buy the bundle and eBay the games, looking at £200/210 then.
I live in a block of flats so currently only have a small system as I don't want to push everyone off, but I just run TOSlink from the PS3 to my amp, that does me for 5.1DD and the HDMI feeds the picture. Works a treat for my situation.
You're missing my point, I'm just offering a different perspective on your position with FA knowledge of your current setup...so you'll have to forgive me for making assumptions.
You'll go which ever way you choose, but a £200 HDMI amp would give you greater flexibility in the long term than...
PS3 + New amp.
You can get a HDMI amp from Richersounds for silly money, if you sold your own kit it's not that dear. Plus you KNOW you're going to be happy down the line unless you know you're getting all BD offers. HDMI is here to stay, and it's a £10 cable.
You also know if you want to pop...
Roy, just get a PS3 - If you don't want it for gaming, then just buy a BD remote. The fact it's fully upgradable profile wise is a winner, plus you've got all the media streaming capabilities.
As for your multi-region, I'd just strip the protection and reburn them if you're bothered about them.
