They're not gonna be to everyone's taste but they compliment and contrast in the right ways to the colouring of the car.
At least they're a bit different than just buying a set of Turini wheels anyway. They were scuffed slightly so needed to be fixed anyway. Why not do something a bit different.
Yeah I was wondering the same to be honest. Yea never know it might be a first on here haha.
And as for lowering, she's thinking of a 30mm drop so its not to uncomfy as a daily driver.
Well Sarah finally got her wheels powder coated white!!
They had a couple of scuffs and also the white contrasts the blue and matches the stripes perfectly.
Only down side is that it looks like they were done in a bit of a hurry as two of the wheels have been slightly...
Dunno about a 1*2 but I'd love to have a blast in my 225!! lol
Off the line I'd expect a V6 to be quicker but rolling start I'd imagine would be similar.
She's got her gordini striped 182 Cup booked in to get the wheels powder coated white!!! :D
They need to be refurbished anyway after she caught them a couple of times, and I am also guilty of catching one of them.
I'll get some piccies up once its done.
Anyone know of anyone else...
T-cut if used sparingly can be ok. I've actually seen it used to ver good effect on old bodywork and also to remove tar etc on bodywork.
Just gotta make sure that if you t-cut the paint you make sure you put a layer of wax on top.
I'd imagine that if you used it too much or too harshly...
As said, I thought the 197 engine was virtually the same as the 182 engine anyway. I'd love to see a 225 engined, Clio but it doesn't sound very feasable.
A twin engines Meg 225 with two re-mapped engines would be far more interesting though.
Great by the way as well. Interesting seeing...
Anyone got any ideas on getting the silver seatbelts in the missus 182 Cup clean???
Somehow they've ended up rather grubby after 14,000 miles and really need cleaning up. Just seems to be a bit grimy rather than having specific stains.
Anyone else had this problem? Any cleaning tips???
Well finally my gf has decided to get her 182 Cup wheels refurbished and powder coated white.
Same place I had my Megane wheels done are doing hers, Wicked Wheels in Crawley.
She's got a 182 Cup with Gordini stripes so the white alloys should look spot on. I just wondered if anyone had...
I spot a Clio Trophy every time I get the train out of East Croydon towards London.
Its parked up behind a load of company units and the company it was parked outside the back of was called 'Norman Lewis'.
Not idea what the company does but wondered if whoever it was is on here? :D
Had my first car broken into and the ICE nicked but not had a car vandalised as such.
My mum's old Clio got keyed by some bitter old c*nt who used to visit the nursing home where my dad used to be. He keyed it coz he'd been blocked in the car park, even though they all used to do it and call...
Spotted a rather ropey, Phase II (pre face lift) blue Clio with rather 'unique' stipes down the left side.
The trouble was that the stripes used looked like the big fat ones that are supposed to be 'viper stripes' and they just looked terrible.
Thankfully it wasn't an RS Clio! lol
Yes, I had a 2001 Clio 1.2 Grande (MKII but no facelift) stealth shelf which went in my 2003 MkII 172 and is now in my missus 2005 182. :D
Hope that helps.

I'm more keen to see how the Twingo with this engine will drive. I think that a 1.2 Turbo is ideal for such a little car, then a re-map to maybe 110-120bhp and that'd be a right giggle.
To be honest, most RS Clios are going to have been driven fairly hard, that doesn't mean they've had a hard life.
If you've got some clueless idiot, who hasn't got a clue, doesn't let it warm up etc, then it will take its toll.
My missus drivers her 182 sedately, yet puts her foot down...
Its a bit of a sh!t face lift to be honest.
It was a face lift purely for the sake of it to be honest, coz it makes the back end look ugly as hell.
Only redeeming thing would be that its a nice smooth boot so would make a good swap if you want that look. Other than that it looks a bit pony.
This is something I've been discussing with my missus. She's got a 182 Cup with the gordini stripes so reckon that the wheels refubished in white would look spot on!!!
Would have thought that with 4WD the R32 would certainly have a lot of grip, but then again my 225 has tonnes of grip but not the chuckability of the missus 182 Cup.
Can't see a 182 keeping with en R32 in my opininion anyway, the sheer grunt of the Golf I'd have thought would do it.
Definitely a more practical car to be honest, if you and the missus are gonna be sharing it as a main car then you get the best of both worlds really.
Fairly practical but fun with it. :D
To be honest, IMO how fast a car is compared to another one is usually in a traffic light blast. Realistically, handling on the road between good handling cars is less noticeable, unless you're prepared to risk driving right on the limits of yours and your cars abilities on the road.
But to...
My local garage has had a look at the steering on my Clio RT, been advised that it'll fail its MOT if I don't get it done.
There's about 2" of play in the steering before the wheels turn. Been told that its the 'RV' in the steering column. Initially they advised that this part could only be...
Well driving my missus 182 Cup yesterday and got 32mpg with the A/C on.
Managed to roll all the way down a main road near my place, slight hill so in 5th, foot off the pedals at 40mph. Trip computer went up and up til hit hit 99mpg!!! lol
Well you have to take into account that the car has done such little mileage, gets covered when not in use and now lives in the garage when not used!! lol
Even though I haven't used the 'two bucket' method, the bodywork never gets enough crap on it to cause swirls or scratches when washed.
Such a c*ntish thing to do really.
The old sod was happy plodding along at 40 so what difference does it make if someone overtakes him?? Its called an inferiority complex.
I've been out in my 225 and before in my old 172 and I never understood the whole thing about flashing your...
Could well just be the recent cold damp air we've had.
Usually fine though. My 172 had its induction kit on it right through the year and didn't get any issues.
Oh well, could just be one of those Renault quirks!! Should be used to em by now. lol
Aaah I see!! Its all become clear.
I have to say, I'll definitely give this one a try if the Meg gets really mucky. I've found that a quick rinse first just to get the dust off the car and then washing over it normally has kept it mint though.
Cheers for the infor guys!!
