Where the f**k was my invite? :)
jay, the vee looks nice mate. Although it would probably suit me more than you so we'll swap keys when we next meet. Wicked parking, I used to take two spaces up in my old vee.
Donny - yea if me and tom would have come there would have been more cups there...
It doesn't really matter how many times you clay it, just as long as you re-polish and wax it afterwards to protect. Claying will just take as much crap of as possible back to the clear coat including any previous layers of polish wax etc so it will need re-doing.
Does it actually fire up and then cut out? or not firing at all?
If you turn the key and it ticks over 4 times and you hold it there (turned clockwise) do the interior lights dim/turn off completely?
When I had my 200sx I paid around £1400 with flux. After 30 days I cancelled the policy as they would not do a good deal at all on a 306 diesel that I was getting at the time.
I got back £1096 !!!
Usually you have spacers on the rear that the springs sit on. The ledas I used to have had shocks which were not height adjustable and a short spring. The spring had a spacer/collar on top and underneath it which gave it a good 20mm height probably. If I wanted it as low as possible i'd just use...
Competition?
I've had a 218bhp clio 172 on throttle bodies, cams, de-cat, omex etc etc and i've also owned a Nissan 200sx. The 200sx would obliterate the clio.
I personally don't think you'll get close to your 200sx friends with 200bhp. Even with light mods on a 200sx they are producing...
I don't think she'll really want it looking like something its not. i.e 172. I just think it would look better but its not my car I suppose even though I have just paid for it.
Door won't be a problem it's just whether I can be bothered to do it.
I've owned one, they are not as quick as you think. Pretty torquey engines but sluggish and heavy. The main dissapointment for me was the handling. No where near as chuckable as my cup now. Turning circle is shite as you probably know as well. Coilpacks seem to go on them like buggery too. I had...
Well after pondering over the thought of getting my mrs a write off i've finally done it and bought her a wee lil clio.
1.4 mk2 ph1, 101k miles, cat c, 1 owner from new, £565
Some pics...
Not much damage at all so won't take long for me to repair. I might even...
Not after performance figs. How good are these engines in general? I'm looking at one for the mrs which has 101k miles on the clock..
