On my old 172 mk2 ph1 it had twin cats which ate a lot of the power. After fitting a decat it seemed to gain a bit of power and rev so much nicer too. I could definately feel the difference.

Check the exhaust clamps.

Cams make the car even more driveable. A definate do if your thinking about it. You'll still have your cruise control etc if sticking to the standard ecu with a remap. If you went for a standalone ecu like omex to run wilder cams then you would obviously loose this.
