It looks to me like thats within tolerances....but why are they not equal on both sides? Take it back and demand that it is!

Julian/Rarerims, thanks for your help in this matter. As you mentioned, it is difficult to know the exact cause of the problem. All I can say is that I've driven in normal conditions, on very normal roads and cleaned them when they're got dirty and unfortunately this has been the result...

How much petrol did you have on-board? I would have thought with the driver and a tank of fuel, both on the off-side of the car, the weight difference would be dramatic? Also, if one side is heavier, do they wind up both the front and the back equally - is there a set formula?

Grrrr, gonna have to wait until Monday! (even then I'd never flick straight to the back - that'd be sacrilege).

My GF is about to get Polo 'sport' 1.9tdi 130 - hoping it'll be pretty quick with that much torque (about 225lb/ft I think) but they ain't light!

Not much heavier? 300kg...and only 228bhp...not much torque either. Maybe you should have tried harder? ;)

The small white dial on the top of the unit (near where the bulb goes in). Just turn it a bit and you'll see the beam rise and fall.

Depends how far gone it is - I drove 3500 miles around Europe with a leaky shock on my M Roadster, didn't notice any bad effects.

I find the 182 bulbs cut-off too sharply....so I just adjust them a bit higher.

I had mk2 wheels on my V6, and I got: 215/45/18 245/40/18 both Contisport contact2's. Were very grippy and cost around £450 for the set. Don't be suckered into getting Michelin's! Those 205 section fronts are sooo pricey!

Which type of bulb is it in the 172/182 (full-fat)? Could you fit a 12000 k bulb straight into the clio? I don't do many non-street lit journeys so the dark blue light is appealing!

Bet it doesn't drive like that - but it looks sweet. That's how modding should be done.

Wouldn't turn it off in the cold, wet days of winter. Certainly would in dry weather though.
