component speakers are front speakers, the difference is that the tweeter and mid are seperate, so you can split the frequences so speakers perfom better. My advice, buy the HU (IMO an Alpine defo!!!), then spend as much as you can on fronts, say £100 depending on budjet...

but the speedo will be messed up surley? also the gearing of the car will be changed?
