oh, I dunno if it's related, but also a couple of times in the last week since the weather turned cold, when i first start up the idle seems to be hunting a bit. Going upto 12-1300rpm only for a short while though.
Twice this week, shortly after starting up for the first time in the day, after I've been driving for about a minute or two, the STOP and oil warning lights have come on for about 10 seconds.
The first time, I got to work, left the car for a couple of hours and checked the oil. The level is...
That's pretty cool.
I've always wondered why they couldn't transmit F1 or touring cars to some sort of graphics client.
I mean, these days, especially with F1, there's so much telemetry they know exactly where a car is on the track and what it's doing. All they need to do is collate all that...
Might help you.
A nice roundup of all the fast USB flash drives, but the general rule of thumb is that if you want a fast flash drive, you're gonna have to pay for it.
Especially if you want 10MB/s write speeds.
That's always been my issue with ATI. Fantastic cards, shocking driver support. I remember there used to be a couple of hacked/customm drivers that were much better.
I think I've decided to get myself a nice ASUS Extreme II. That should keep me happy for another couple of years.
That was one of the X58's i was looking at. either that on, or : http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2958
Is the solid money on NVidia video cards these days? I'm so out of the loop these days it's not even funny, but I refuse to have someone else...
This is precisely why I chose my internet moniker of "Pinko_Commie" way back in the day while playing Quake online (Actually it was Pinko Commie back then, but Unreal did not allow spaces in names, so it then became Pinko_Commie). It used to wind the yanks up a treat, I used to get so much...
It's new PC time, as I realised today that my motherboard is 5 1/2 years old :S:S
In the past I have always bought the top of the line board available, usually one that's fantastic for overclocking, and I always have intentions to overclock the s**t out of it.
But I never do. I never get...
1) Pacman
2) Quake 3
3) World of Warcraft
4) Mario Kart
5) Elite
I dread to think how many hours/days/years I've put in on that lot.
I would also lke to nominate Populous for a special mention.
The G27 doesn't work on the Xbox. It's PS2/3 and PC only. :( I looked at the G27 and thought "ooh that's nice" then realised it wouldn't work with my 360.
I recently bought myself a MS Wireless Wheel. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but the force feedback is really handy, if a little tiring after a long session. (my wrists were actually hurting the other night after a 4 or 5 hour session)
It's designed pretty well, the wheel sperates...
Mine turned up Monday morning, but I've been running it at work for about 2 weeks. No issues whatsoever so far. Installed in under an hour on my home box. Drivers for everything out of the box.
Only issue I ran into was at first login it decided to make my TV plugged in via DVI my primary...
Is it a laptop, does it have a touchpad below the keyboard, are you accidently hitting the touchpad while you type?
I used to do this alot :-( , as a single tap on the touchpad counts as a click, and I often catch the touchpad with the edge of my hand sending the cursor elsewhere.
Depending...
If you do a netstat -b it will tell you what programme is using that port, but as McBunny says, it'll probbaly be a google toolbar or something like that.
I think the idea is, in the long term, that you will be able to charge your phone most places without having to carry a charger or anything.
Once you have a pad at home, and there is one in the office, and they start turning up in coffee shops and pubs, and maybe one in the console of your car...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HD_ready
Explains a bit about HD Ready 1080p
It would appear from a bit of digging that FullHD only garantees that it can display a 1080p images, while HD Ready 1080p garantees that it can do all of the framerates at 1080...
10 Meg Virgin.
I'll have to see if I can get one from my mate on the other side of town. He's on Virgins test network. 200meg cable, seen him get 180-190 sustained. The b*****d.
I can't recommend my Samsung LED TV highly enough.
UE46B8000 - 46 inch, LED technology, 2.9cm thick.
Shed loads of inputs
Will even play DivX/Xvid/MKV off of a memory stick (has 2 USB ports)
Also, Samsung are doing a cash rebate offer this month. £200 cashback if you buy the 46" 8000...
I hate it when they log a call with those words. It basically means you'll spend an hour trying to get them to explain what they actually mean by "slow".
I recently had a guy complaining his internet connection was slow and how they had just upgraded to 20mb and it made no difference and it...
try the following.
Got Start - Run
Type \\servername click OK
If that doesn't work, try using \\server_ip_address
That should bring up the list of shares.
If \\servername does work, then your already mapped drives should work fine.
I would think that this will be OK if you are assigning...
