primer's for rat rods removed dirty back from the body shop they even painted the top too light refitted, looking good. much better much much better can't believe its taken me 4 years and 10 months to get it done....

bought from a local hardware place (not in UK) was looking for plastic primer and satin black spray paint, but could not fond any primer, and I stumbled upon that product..... I'm sure there are other brands....otherwise call em Northern Europe - UK, Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia...

um....no lacquer.....maybe some satin lacquer would have been a good idea? will see how it holds up.....looks 1000 times better than before....

I used this stuff, no primer, just a few thin layers. Just the standard balck option. http://www.rustoleum.com/product.asp?frm_product_id=391&SBL=1 you just unbolt the wiper, just clip the cover up and then you need to wiggle it off, it won't oull straight off, use wd40 leave for 10 mins...

very nice, fog lights up front would look good too.....but first get some nice alloys (and silvervisions of course)

so it comes off (the light that is) from the spoiler - cool, can never trust these guys with masking up....got a good uote, won't take it in tomorrow as they always rush things on a friday so will take it in on Monday. will take a pic tonight of the wiper - looks like new, was worried it...

I've decided to get my spoiler colour coded. can someone tell me if when you remove it, can you remove the plasic part with brake light? or do the painters have to mask it off so as to not paint it ? thanks

ja but 2mm isn't as bad as 8-10mm as I was told that wheels for a clio should have an offset of 35-38m. now, mk1 172's have an offset of 43, culd my "clio sport 1.616V" as it was called in south africa have the same track as a mk1 172 ??

aha....so if I have a 43mm offset then 45's should be fine ?? I called a few wheel places here and all of them say 35-38mm offset for a Clio ??

I had a look at my rims - Renault Taurus (Rsi) - 6 x 14" and they have this written on them "4CH43" - could this mean the offset is 43 ? there's nothing else on them hinting to the offset ??

ok, I know I'm gonna be labelled most anoying poster, but please confirm I'll only need spacers at the rear ? why don't the front need ? Will it be ok with 40mm drop or am I better off with regular springs ? really need to be 100% sure about this - otherwise I'd be betre off buying new...

all I know is that the lower the offset the more the wheels will stick out.....

those have an offset of 43 right ? you use any spacers ? you meaning they rubbed at the back only ? how much is your car lowered ? all I need is a definative solution/answer.....

thanks, I would have thought thr front would have been the issue with turning etc. if its juts the back, doesn't sound like much of an issue.

ok, I'm a bit slow, so no spacers for the front ? what about if you replace the 205/45 tire, with a 195/45 tire ? spacer still required?

would be great if someone can give me a confirmation on the spacer issue... I have searched and 5mm spacers at the back only seem to be the answer...so the front go on with no hassles at all? what happens if you don't have the 5mm spacer ? anyone with a ph1 got 182 wheels on ?
