I'm gonna order the trim (prolly from K Tec, as local agents don't have) and fit a nice tail pipe, but want the semi-factory look of the plastic trim from a 182, just concerned that the ph1 bumper is a slightly different shape so want to know if it will fit perfectly other wise I won't go to all...
K-Tec can sell me one for 15 quid.......but postage is also 15...so quit steep, I have a contact at Renault South Africa trying to source one for me. other wise 'll get from K-Tec and then off to Powerflow......
thanks, renault in south africa are a little slow, they didn't have the part number on their system and the guy said he'd call me back after a little investigation but haven't heard from him ??
very nice
want to do something similar here with powerflow....called renault about the exhaust suround (from a 182) but they don't have the part number listed ?? Is that a genuine renault surround or is there something else I can get ??
no sunroof......and just about every other car like mine has one here, so in a way makes mine more rare......I have only seen one other in Cape Town in my colour which is cool.
a megnet stick to the bonnet so it must be steel right?
engine cover from a Meg eh? My mom has one, you think...
I got mk2 ph1 1.6 16v (3 door)
Bought it in Jan 2002, but its a 2001 car.....looks like it has everything like the RSi, half leather, White dials, Taurus rims etc - just no alloy bonnet or engine cover for some reason.
things are a little different down in s.africa.....anything goes.....no MOT or anything......cars nearly 5 years old and never been road worthied :-)
Just don't speed too much and you're fine, but if you do thats fine cos there's no points system on your licence!
took it off meley for...
an impusive descision today, removed the towbar....don't ask how I will carry the mountainbike from now on, but it does look better (and lighter)....
Before
After
For now I have just siliconed up the holes drilled into the wheel well, anyone suggest anything else I should do ?
looks great, mines the same, but in SA they sold it to me as "Renault Clio Sport", just have "16v" badges on the side instead of RSi - how can I check if I have an alloy bonnet and also, is the engine cover standard - I don;t have one and wouldn't mind trying to get me hands on one.
thanks, I had thought of the 182 surround, but kinda fancied the oval tail pipe, was gonna ask if it will fit the ph1 bumper, but the silver ones answers that.....how does it fit to the bumper and ahs anyone got a part number ???
any one got pics of their mk2 with the bumper slighty cut for a single tail pipe, small oval if possible....
or is it not really necesarry to have it cut ?
meg's wheel cleaner, to be honeat I just took a pic of the first wheel I cleaned and it turned out to be the best example, the others all had some bad patches that wouldn't come clean....
Went to the local motor shop, waited for owner to pitch in his gold S-class merc (circa 1989)with 20" spinners (LOL)
Bought and over priced "caliper painting kit" - which turned out to be rubbish, think a tin of red toothpaste...(must get my cash back, anyways....)
bought some axle...
I just discovered my professional audio installer did a kak job....I took everything out on the weekend and they had run RCA's with the power cable and the power cable was fed through the fender and then a hole drilled into the cabin next to the door hinge......
so I suppose you coul do it...
