ive not owned my car long but when i pull away in 1st gear driving normally i get a rough vibration through the steering wheel which quickly dissapears anyone else had this or knows whats causing it?
my clio 182 is standard if i fitted aftermarket cams does that mean instead of it coming on cam at say 5krpm which it does just now it would be higher than this if so what is yours starting at?
if i fitted cams do i bin the phaseshifter pulley and fit an adjustabe pulley does that work?or do...
i think placing metal heat shields in the engine bay is a big no no!!!!because they get hot too! and heat up whatever is arounds them.
i agree with the other post saying that if you have similar components to the itg then how can the itg be so much better taking into account value for money...
i would actually say to the garage can you show me them because iam not taking any chances it sat that poing youl find out they wont have them ot they will spin you a long story.
best bet have a read through the haynes manuals for the 2 cars you own.take the engine out the car your not using just now this will give you some experience of whats involved i would say get an engine hoist or have the means to jack the car up high enough to drop the engine out through the...
iam taking the 2 litre engine and mating it to the 1.8 litre gearbox as its much lighter than the 2litre gearbox.
it sits behind the driver but in front of the rear axle so essentialy mid engined rear wheel drive lol good idea eh its supposed to be the best bang for bucks kit car you can buy on...
ive just ordered up a kit car and was informed by the compay director of the firm i could have the 2litre zetec brand new engine for £700 from ford i thought that was good then i was told i could have the mtech tuning package who are they i said?

after reading the manuals do i bring camshaft timing so that the timing marks are horizontal? how do i remove the cam pulley without the camshaft losing its timing position?
and how do i refit the new pulley in the same position the old one came off?
when the dephaser pulley is working properly should you be able to hear it?as mines sounds like a diesel until you rev past 1500rpm and all is quiet!its not excessively noisy compared to the videos on here!
who can supply me with a brand new one at a good price?
why do decatted exhausts sound raspy and a wee bit crap tbh when years ago cars without cats in the first place never sounded as bad as decatted exhausts now?
my car does sound a bit like a diesel which i thought was odd but since iam doing a cambelt change soon iam thinking i should replace this pulley.
being a mechanical engineer can someone tell me aprt from the diesel noise what should i be looking for to determine if its worn or in good condition?
