I have considered it, I have use epoxy aluminium resin to repair crank cases on bikes before now with 100% success, and a gearbox casing in my golf when the clutch exploded - just dont know if I want to risk it on my car.
Anybody got any ideas I am open to suggestions??
Got top go out for a...
That the best news I have had for a while, dont mind doing that, but did not fancy having to split the box, looks like the box is bolted to the sump casting but as long as it comes off Ill be chuffed.
Forgot to say Thanks a lot

It is dark so I might be wrong, but the cover does not look holed, just marked, but there is definately a small crack in the sump, I have taken the front of the cover off and yopu can see where it is leaking from, give it a wipe and you can see the crack.

Had the misfortune earlier of driving over a brick in the road which not only smashed the cup spoiler but has made a tiny crack in the sump about 5 mil long which is now dribbling oil.
Anybody know if I can get the sump off without splitting the box. First renault and never looked at one of...
Phunkey,
I may be selling a Haydon Rep Shoei same as Omars pics above only with a Blue Shell and Yellow stripe.
I agree that you should not buy a second hand lid but this is almost brand new and unmarked. I bought it for the wife who used to ride on the back of my bike, but very soon after...
Had mine since March with no probs at all @nearly 16k.
Local dealers are barmy, not a clue when to service, how to do it, what tyres to fit, "yes it does have a spare sir, its in the boot", etc, etc. They do try though and generally try to be polite and helpful.
Very pleased with it to date.
I think the anthracite 182 wheels look great on my Racing Blue car. I have no intention of swapping for anything at least until I see one of theses on the road..

I wonder if these come with a spare??
Sorry all, I got is ass backwards, it is the original brochure from feb which has no Arctic option in it, and the later one which deleted the stiffer tyre sidewall bit.
I posted about the tyres in October and Jeremy Townsend replied that the tyre info was removed due to the confusion and that...
Very strangely, Arctic Blue is not shown anymore in the Clio brochure. I have an origional brochure from when I ordered the car in Feb with Arctic Blue in, and I picked a new one up when I was having the car serviced in September.
The newer brochure does not mention the stiff sidewalls on the...
Posted this before, but I was also told that my 182 was due to be serviced at 18k.
Then they tried to fit Contis on it (dare I imagine 195s), then filled it with 10w40. Considering I was paying £159 for this service I asked them to change it. Half an hour later, the service manager phoned...
I could not find my cans when I got the car, so I went back to the dealer to enquire and was told I had a spare wheel.
Very funny when two of the salesmen came out to show me where the spare was under the boot carpet..
Back in 2001, my wife had a company car which only her and I used. She received a NIP from a rear facing camera. We requested the photo which was supplied no problem but it was obviously of the back of the car. I wrote three letters on her behalf stating that we had no record of the driver. They...
Cheapest tyre I found was Mytyres @£78 per corner (including postage),with an orange/red line around them when delivered as per the previous thread to denote stiffer version.

Not had a Reno before so I have no previous cars to compare with, but mine has now done 13.5k and I have no reason to complain about anything, no rattles or problems whatsoever.
Servicing was a laugh as previous but car is great.
Have to come and show me your car Mike so I can compare...
Really nice Mike, Would love to have a look at that. Give me a shout when you next visit Dai.
I think it looks great in that red. Would look even better in my drive.
What is it doing parked up long enough to take pics on the first day??

Thanks for the reply Jeremy, bet this getting on your nerves now.
It could be worth shooting some of the service people at the dealers - save you a lot of time responding to 182 tyre queries.
cheers Tom, I too am ordering them from mytyres, and I agree that you wont be able to tell the difference on the road. Renault wanted £98+vat when they eventually agreed which tyres should be on the car. I gave up before I confirmed which colour markings these would have.
The point of this...
Whilst at the dealer yersterday when they tried to tell me continentals were the correct tyre for my 182 etc, (see other thread). I asked for a brochure to show the service staff that my car with a cup pack has stiffened sidewall tyres, which they were telling me it didnt.
To my disappointment...
They washed mine Dave - sort of!
And Toypop, having the option to wait for the car and see it being serviced through a glass panel makes me less worried about the way the car is treated. Still prefer to do it myself tho.
Did get a loan of a RS225 for 20 mins or so and was very impressed...
Just returned from taking my 182 from its first service. Booked in for 10.30 and opted to wait approx 1 1/2 hours for it.
I was told it needed two new front tyres, which I said Id get elsewhere as I had heard that they were £140 each at the dealer. I was told that they were only £78 each so I...
They are OZs of some description, photoshopped on

My 182 is needing new fronts, and I am going to buy Exalto PE2s as fitted from new for £78.80 at http://www.mytyres.comwww.mytyres.com. I hope that they come with the correct orange colour banding to supposedly differentiate them as the stiffened sidewall ones, but on the other hand if they have...
