so in a full weekend, i could probably do both doors with dynamat and run some wiring around the car (so when i get my amp i can just hook it up and go) hopefully
excuse me for missing something, but you had to take the door off compleltly to run new wire to the components in the front? how come, I thought you could just run it through following the old wire as long as the panel is off....
could be a good idea imo, youd need to do some sums to see if it actually works out cheaper, then decide if the clio would get enough use to justify it.
You can really sound cheap cars for hardly anything to run into the ground then scrap them, it was on "5th gear" or something
Would it be possible to mount an amp on top of the sub box...as my sub box is 23 inches long and 12 inches deep.....so mounting the amp on top would be great as it would save boot space!
I think it will be dynamat yes...just wanted to know how long it would take as Im not great at DIY really, I nearly always forget to put something back in, strip a thread here or crack that etc
Hi all,
I asked before how difficult it was to remove panels for sound proofing and I am now wondering if Ill need any special tools to remove door cards/boot card etc...and how long will it take to say sound proof 1 door including removal etc... thanks muchly
if you have any doubts at all its not worth it, wait till you are 100% sure that you want to change again otherwise you may regret it. on the other hand, its up to you, and if your like me, nobody will talk you out of something you want...
my 2p deposited :)
those "nicole?" "papa!" decided the Clio would always be a girls car..
oh well, i dont care, it looks great imo, and is a fantastic car for a 19 year old to own! :) and im much more proud of it than I expected to be
Hi,
Anyone who has good components - do they fit in the front door locations ok, depth wise? by good components I mean ones around the 150-300 pound mark, as i assume they will have deeper magnets than my kenwood coaxials which cost £80.
its a 2004 clio btw and im keeping the size (13cm)...
is siliconing behind the grills proven to stop it rattling? As I was thinking either to do that or something like blu-tac  to stop them shaking. They would need to be removeable incase something needs changing though
I think the people who complain should focus on some real dangers on our roads...unroadworthy cars, uninsured cars etc.....removing a few 4x4s wont suddenly make our roads empty and our air clean will it? what about all the MPVs which are just as high/long
From your personal experience guys, how easy is it to sound deaden a 2004 clio? As it already rattles a bit and as im adding a sub and amped components I imagine it will rattle to peices! Is it easy to add the sound deadening material to the boot or front doors?
Will I experience enough...
dont forget an airsfreshener!!
these expensive devises are easily worth 40-50bhp and increases top speed by 30mph....
good choices are the jap-style magic tree, or euro-style smiley face :D
thanks for your help guys, much apprieciated!!
now only if i could concentrate on actually working/earning money rather than looking at amps on the net i may earn some money to pay for them!!
thanks again
in these Bandpass enclosures that vibe do and a normal sub box? and what is reference bass? how is that different to normal bass?
excuse my utter uselessness
Thanks for all your help everyone :)
frosty...do you know what it was called...i could search through all the car audio sites but time i find one ill of given up lol....plus you might know of a good one!
randy16v...thanks for the offer but all these purchases wont be made for a while yet...no money at the moment so i wouldnt...
what made you choose a clio?
well i fell for the looks of my dynamique from the front especially with the fogs and the new shape lights, but i dont think that there is one bad angle to view it from.....but it had to be a black one imo
you?
always seems to me a bit pointless ripping your tyres up everytime you pull away as you see a lot of chavs do....and more often than not its a crap car anyway so all they are doing is drawing attention to themselves!!
at a cruise id half understand but these lads do it everywhere round here...
please excuse me for not knowing much about ice...but hey, if you dont ask you dont learn....
I see amps come in 2 channels, 4 channels etc....
If I want to run 4 door speakers and a 8/10 inch sub what type of amp would i need? or would it be better to have a seperate amp for the sub and...
