There is a guide in the "guides" section but you wont be able to view it as you arent a member. Its in the thread above but theres alot of pages to look through.
Its a guide to...
Danny is right, if they're some cheapo coilovers then they won't be great on British roads!
Decent springs (Cooksport or Eibach Sportlines/Prolines), some new OEM cup shocks, or Koni Yellows if you've got a bit more money to spend will make it feel and handle so much better than cheap coilies :)
Hmmm, just tried a few things, its as if it can only unlock OR unlock, not both. This depends on whether Ive pushed the dash button to lock or unlock too.
e.g. If I push the button to unlock all doors, get out, press key fob, it'll lock. But then I cant unlock it using the fob, only by...
Ok, since changing the steering column a few weeks back (which it didnt need in the end!) the key hasnt quite been behaving correctly.
Basically it doesnt seem to unlock when pushing the key button, but after driving, and getting out, it'll lock most of the time. So I have to unlock it...
Lol yeah thats how ;)
Its running Sportlines (they definately are) and Koni adjustable shocks. I agree the back looks a bit lower than it used to be since fitting the Koni's, still on the same springs though. May just be the ground. I'll find a pre-Koni pic ;)
I think I bought a pair and changed them both, and kept the other as a spare :) Just incase the colour was slightly different. Yeah, definately the bulb if its doing that.
I was driving past a garage I pass almost every day, and noticed a clean looking silver Ph1 had appeared on the forecourt so I stopped and asked the dealer about it.
Turns out its got a genuine 27k miles and is in mint condition and all original bar some springs (sensible drop, nothing silly)...
They will make a BIG difference to the car if its got cheap crappy tyres on!! Either of the 3 mentioned would be a big improvement over what you have ;)
I cant find a pic of what I mean, but a dark brown with purple pearl in it would look awesome I think! Next time I'm on Forza I'll try it on there :):o
Talking of brown, I saw a new Vauxhall something-or-other the other day, a Zafira type thing in a lovely dark brown/goldy kind of colour. It looked awesome in the sun but almost black in the shade! :)
We did a lot of the bodywork and interior parts, mostly simple stuff as far as laminating goes. But its nice to have some involvement. The main dash/cockpit panels I did so they're on show :)
Not seen this posted up on here yet.....If you haven't heard anything about it, its a concept car built to celebrate Aston's Centenary year. Also I have a particular interest as I had a part in making some of it :approve:
You tried driving quite close to a wall in gear, and coming on and off the throttle to see it rattles like mine did?
As obviously when driving normally, the piston is under load so it wont "slap about" if it was the little end, but not when letting off the throttle. Hence mine rattling!
I've...
Probably not what you want to hear :quiet:
From that vid it sounds like its from the wrong end to be dephaser related.
When my little end went, if I was driving along on partial throttle it was normal and quiet but if I let off and coasted it gear it'd make a light tapping noise, and then go...
