Just cleaning up a caliper before I put it back on the car, is there any way for me to wind the caliper piston out as far as possible for me to clean it? I haven't got any hoses connected but it still seems to be pretty well stuck in :(
Just need the rubber bits that go on the sliders... re-seal kits cost an arm and a leg don't they? Surely some where must sell them cheap, they only cost about 10p to make??
Very common problem re the blower, usually the resistor plug by the blower, try giving it a wiggle first of all otherwise take it off its probably melted/rusted etc.
I think the reason behind this is either your foot is very slightly still on the 'gas' when you dip the clutch or your accel. cable is sticking slightly so there is a delay between taking your foot off the pedal and the throttle cable releasing completely. Hence when you dip the clutch the...
If its anything like the drivers side driveshaft on the valver then its a total pain in the ass to change that boot. I ended up just changing the whole shaft :(
Just sent my 3 phone off for repair and I still have my old K750i but it won't work with my 3 sim as its locked for orange I think... can I download software to unlock it or anything?
Thing is im taking the boot off and putting it back on again so I won't have those circlips that normally come with boot kits, where can I buy them seperate?
Rather than using those gay circlip-type-jobs would there be any problems using a jubilee clip on the ends of the boots? or would it be better to use big cable ties?
drive shaft needs to come off for nearside inner so thats going to include draining gbox oil and refilling not sure if the shaft has to come off for the other side but 1.5hrs doesnt sound 2 bad.

1. could mean low on brake fluid I would check tht asap or low pads (but doubt the sensors are connected as they never are)
2. V common problem, normally the heater resistor pack, easy fix either get one from a scrappy or renault for around £30, wipers/scuttle panel/wiper motor off and then...

It will give you a good idea of what it would involve obv its for passenger side so you won't have to drain the oil.
