When you say clicking, do you mean when you turn the key the final turn to start the car it just clicks? Thats usually the solenoid getting stuck in the starter motor, you either have to carefully flick the ignition between 2/3 so its repeatedly trying to turn the starter (this usually unsticks...

thats just part of the cruise control if your car has it

Jack is the only way, jack up the underneath of the ball joint quite a bit, keep jacking it and trying until it doesnt turn, thats how I did mine...

Probs trying to rip you off, ie you can get headgasket kits of the net fairly cheap circa £50 inc head bolts... go into a motorfactors and they'll charge you £110 without the bolts!!

Heavy clutch could be down to a non-genuine clutch cable. Anything but a Renault clutch cable and it will be heavy as f**k.

Doesn't take that long! Top dash off (5 screws) 4 screws to take the dash with the guages on out, then few screws to undo the back and your laughing!

^^ Lol obviously Renault Dealer virgin :p They will cost you an arm and a leg and a bit more to be honest! For the ditzy cap in my valver they wanted around £70!! Total and utter rip off.

lol I know that but its my old mans drive if i so much as spill a spec of oil on it he goes mad so as little brake fluid loss as possible will keep me in one piece!

^^ no but if i turn the valve off im not gonna have my whole tank come out if I run into problems! Haynes (cue laughter) says something about screwing the cap down on PVC to create a vacuum but I can't see that working... guess I'll just have to work fast :(

Ok do you mean the switches on either side of the bonnet? One near the end by the washer bottle etc bit of plastic sticking out which goes down when pushed?
