Do the calipers off all mk2s (except RS's) fit a valver/williams?

230ish and thats draining it empty :( though that is thrashing it quite a bit...

Ratchet on the bolt feet in the wheel arch and pull with all ure strength lol worked for me ;) not sure if it work tht well if u have the whole car in the air though?

People often cut the hoses are they are too much hassle trying to remove as they are often seized on. Have you got the right spanners for the job? 9/11mm brake spanner is a worthwhile buy as the unions are often seized and a normal open spanner will round them off pretty quick!

Well if the rest of the car is in gd nick then yeah def get a new clutch! you won't pick up another gd condition car for the cost of a clutch...

Its quite a big split and could be a little while till I fit a new one so need it fixed really! Duct tape and super glue sounds gd thou

I dosed it in wd40 as well :( How did you do it, did it speed it up much?

Hmm I got a new motor and it was still really slow? I lubed up the tube on the last motor with normal grease and it didn't seem to make any difference?

I've got the same problem never managed to solve it, had 3 different motors and 2 different doors tried lubing it but tht didnt do anything :( Must be something to do with wiring?

So leading on from my other post, until I can get another drive shaft, whats the best way to temporarily mend a split boot? its about 2cm long, the rubber has just cracked over time and now split :( I was thinking super glue over it (did this last time worked quite well) then maybe some kind...

Need a drivers side shaft, obv williams won't fit but what about lower models 1.2/1.4 etc?

Need a throttle body for a valver/williams urgent as mine just broke, round bristol area? Anyone got one or know a scrappy with a williams/valver in round south west? ps mods please don't move the thread until tomorrow as no one checks the wanted section and I need this asap! thanks ;)

No point using dot 5.1, means you have to change it every few months and there is no advantage less you're running a race car.

Def check for rust on rear arches, can bubble up under the paint and its expensive to fix (have to cut the arch out and weld a new one in), also behind the sills on both sides (have a nasty habbit of rusting on the inside). Also check for play in the steering as the columns often go at the...

copper grease is only a anti-seize compound though? should I be using some kind of grease then :S

As above, Im sure I read sumwere that you shouldn't do this? IE take the pins out grease em up then put them back in again?

Was defo your car (cud tell by the mud stains) but im guessing it was some1 else driving it?
