If you're getting more than 230 out of a tank you're not driving it right :p I got about 230 but that was all round town no motorways with a semi-heavy foot :D
There is a guide over on williamsclio but you have to be a member to view it. Its a box off job though so unless you're taking the gearbox off anyway its a bit of an effort just for a lighter pedal. Also you can't use the standard airbox as the 172 fork is too long.
If you pedal is silly...
How old are you? Just asking because if you're still 17/18 really pointless getting much else as the insurance will kill you.
And yeah if its free why not? Could clean up the body work, lower it, get some smart wheels on there + exhaust etc. Still won't be terribly fast but least it will look...
lol once when I had my valver on stands I redlined it in 5th :o
Pretty sure one of the wheels will spin on its own even when its in neutral, nothing to worry about.
Depending on the kind of heads and where the bolts are, you could try getting a chisel or something similar and use that to knock them round anti-clockwise.
Not really, depends how handy you are with a spanner.
Need to drain the box oil, loosen hub nut, take the wheel off, remove disc/caliper, unbolt strut, unbolt track rod end, take the hub nut off, unbolt the 3 bolts holding the driveshaft gaitor into the box then pull the shaft out.
Then...
When you ring up explain the situation and you want a patrol to come out, otherwise if we're really busy we might assign a contractor to you and they don't carry the code readers.
All our patrols carry the diagnostic software so they should be able to plug it in and read the codes/reset them. However isn't guaranteed occasionally it doesn't interface correctly.
Nah group buy finished while ago, I had to get mine direct as well. Like you said though very cheap, and the same company supplies rally teams, forumla 2/3 etc so not crap quality.

Try those, not magnecor but there was recently 2 group buys of them on williamsclio got a set myself, definately well rated.
Are you changing it because yours has blown or because you want a bigger engine? If its the latter then as above pointless putting anything less than a 2.0 due to the hassle.
send me the pic if you want i'll pm you my number. should just be a case of getting another metal slider and pin? Did you press the brakes afterwards? check there is no damage to the disc etc or any other damage to the caliper.
Its not so much the engines, its everything else!
Rusty sills/rear arches, worn engine mounts, noisey petrol pumps, power steering issues, wheel bearings, ball joints, steering column play, blocked heater matrix, also dodgy calipers/braking system, especially if its got rear discs!
Can you...
2nd hand valver head is under £100. New valves etc plus labour is going to cost much more than that ? Unless you do it yourself but quite time consuming!
Someone on here a while ago, can't remember where they worked but he said the first thing they look at when a car comes in with a blown engine under warranty is whether its got a genuine filter, if not they void the warranty.
Not sure if thats true for all car warranties though.
