Lowering springs, standard shocks.
When its jacked up and I steer left/right the springs unseat themselves, there were ok when the car was on the ground but I think they have started moving again now :(
Just changed both shocks and springs, used new bearings as well. Now the springs are seated correctly but when I move the steering left/right the spring jumps around? Any ideas what could cause this...

Last month, only just got round to fitting it as the fuel pump failed, turns out the voltage regulator is totally shafted and its charging my battery at nearly 16v causing the...
Think it was 15.75ish on idle charging or over 15 anyway.
And yeah 2nd hand alt how'd you guess? Checked the bushes before I slapped it in though and it all looked kosher...
Just fitted a new alternator, bushes in the old one were buggered.
Now its running nearly 16V on idle but when I turn everything on it it drops right down to just over 12??
If I rev the engine its fine lights get mega bright way brighter than with the old alternator but only if i rev it...

Had this on my valver first bet is take it to a exhaust place see if they can move it so it sits right, failing that could try loosening the top mount and pulling the engine forward as much as poss?
Is it hitting the dogbone mount itself or the bolt?

Do I undo the centre with a hex type anti clock wise, then when thats loose I undo the tensioner pulley with a 22mm spanner?
Gonna b pretty impossible to try to hold the spanner while getting the hex in at the same time :S
Can be welded fine, if you get another column it will cost you an arm and a leg and no doubt just wear out again.
See above on where its welded, best to take the column out for best results, again pretty easy to remove the column.
