I did this, however all the good address' for my name are taken :( Tried the forwarding from hotmail thing but it was slow and didnt send all my emails over.
I wrote it off before it got repaired lol
Foxy said something about taking it apart, I didnt try it though. You can easily take the barrel out and do the locks for about £40, its the reprogramming that the expensive part.
My mates, its fun, slow and crashy, things dont work, windscreen wipers are operated by string, bits of house carpet stop your feet touching the road but its fun and very loud.
I think the smaller end is meant to be pushed right up to that cap on the right, not sure, dont remember it looking like that though.
When its actually pushed into the box, the rubber boot doesnt stretch that far, it doesnt need to go as far as the end.
As long as its tight and doesnt leak then...
Think it was a Red 182 in Haverfordwest. First up by the cemetery and then 10 minutes later, going up Prendergast Hill.
Car looked good. Shame about your mate, he looked a bit simple.
Couldnt you just fill it out asif she's sold it to you? No fee and you'll be able to drive it straight away, as long as you have you own insurance on it.
Just wait until the day of when the new policy starts.
Yeah, have to say I dont think ive seen a rusted mk2, not to the point of bubbled paintwork. But probably every mk1 ive seen, rear arches have fallen to pieces.
Yeah I got a few comment from passers whenever I was working on the car. You should get some mk1 ph1 lights & bonnet, the square ones, there so much better :P
Let me know a price nearer the time your selling them. Although I think they look good not polished tbh.
The stalk one is so the frenchies can beep while not indicating.
The right one on the wheel is so he can still press it while changing gear and the left one is so he has one hand free to give abuse out the window.
Its in your manual somewhere.
Dont listen to all the haters. Do your own thing. I might even copy you too :P Do they actually have grab handles like these on the underground or buses. I definitely fit some if they were from an old underground carriage :)
I think this may have been covered about 5 million times now.

IMO get a genuine boot & brake cleaner is fine to use to clean it out.
Not sure if ill be able to make it now. Bereavement in the family and may have to travel South Wales for the funeral. Dont know when its going to be yet.
Time for you to decide which crew your in...
