I remember this being a pain. I cut the terminal off the wire and put a screw or nail into the end of the wire and pushed it through after swearing alot. Once you pull the deadening back you should be able to see the wire pretty easily.

This maybe an expensive lesson to learn. You probably lucky it (is/maybe) the cloth thats caused it, as over time the lack of a filter is only going to make the car run worse as with all the dust etc getting in. IMO nothing other than a bigger engine will make a 1.2 go noticeable quicker...

I had a Fiesta ST on a 24 hour test drive, dragged it against my mates 172. The Clio pulled away cleanly everytime. Nice looking cars though, just need that little bit more power and nicer inteior.

My old 172 did 170bhp and 138lbs/ft torque, 170 seems way to high.
