He is suggesting that the position you have that filter placed in is making it susceptible to heat soak and a reduction in power. My Cup is pretty economical, average about 40mpg ;)

That is just down to the fact that the petrol gauge is crap. What is your average mpg on the trip computer?

I had a front coil spring replaced on my 172 Cup for an MOT, the spring was £130 from Renault.
