James,
Have you got any pictures of it fitted to the car? Does the air come in through the lower grill? Space must be a little tight?
Any pics appreciaited
Yeah car is lumpy when cold, but you still cant beat the noise it makes. Im looking at getting Hayward and scott twin pipes on my 182 next like 182WRC has done.
Eskissbest i have forwarded you a copy of PM about induction hole.
Yeah Typhoon looks smart, but Id love to hear it. Is it anything near as loud as K&N?
I was starting to think no one liked K&N kits, but it seems quite a few people on here have em.
Yeah, I love the sound of mine, turns a lot of heads. Does anyone know if the Generation 2 ones sound as goos? Im thinking of getting one for the birds Cooper S.
George 16v, is that 181bhp at the drive wheels? Thats good. and defo agree, love the sound
Standard 182s are about 150-160 at...
Ive got a K and N 57i kit. I know a lot of people on here say it affects performance, but I only really notice it on hot days like we had last week. Plus I love the sound. So just wondered what generation 2 was like, and what most people on here also think of the typhoon induction kit?
Managed to wire it up and it works! You are right the wires on the road angel are sooooooo thin. I got a lighter and melted the coating to get to the wire. Then i wrapped it round the connector. I also fused it, just in case! Where did you feed the plug through to access the road angel on the dash??
I wired the amp from the battery, for the power, and reached into the roof for the aerial wire to connect the remote wire (so that it switches on when you switch on the radio!) I then bought the Autoleads adaptor PC1-602 which converts speaker sound into an RCA plug (the red and white plugs)...
Started it at weekend, wires on RA2 are so thin though! Will try the connectors, I know the ones you mean, blue with a blade/holder style thing that cuts into wire slightly.
Then will tape it all up! Was easy enough to pull out cup holders though!
Any probs Ill call/text ya, thanks mate
I think the only way around this is to reach inside and lock all doors and boot with lock button, then shut the door you arte leaning into and lock it manually with the key. (will have to be passenger door, as driver door doesnt have manual lock!)
Yeah, this is why i kept standard head unit, so I didnt lose driver contriols and my cd multi changer. Yet Ive still go the renault speakers along with a sub and amp! I may upgrade speakers in time, but sound pretty good for now!!
Cheers HAS, Ive spoken to Jay too, and ill attempt this at the weekend. How did you re-connect wires between fuse holder and fag lighter? Bullet connectors, or just som etape wrapped round??.>
Cheers
The temperature is taken from under the passenger side mirror, check that all is in order with the sensor. Perhaps its become disconnected within the mirror and so had frozen the temperature?
Not happened to me before im afraid tho
So, is it easy enough to take off the dash mate? I take it you strip the live wire off the stereo and connect it up. Then just use the same earth as the radio too?
Do you have any pics?
Does anyone have any advice, or pictures of thier hard wired Road angel 2? I want to eliminate all the messy wires, and take the power straight from the cigarette lighter.
Please PM me if you have any useful info, with regards to accessing the wires on the cigarette lighter.I know what colour...
Ive fitted a sub and amp to my car a while ago, but no problem with the alarm.
My friens had an over sensitve alarm, think he got renault to turn down sensitivity or had window sensors replaced. Check sensors are properly aligned. I think it says someting in the handbook about how many times...
I have done this. I fitted a sub by buying an adaptor from autoleads. Its a Speaker to RCA adaptor, think its about £7.99, all you do is take feed off speaker wires, and it converts it into an RCA white/red plug output ready for the amp to be plugged in to. It then means you can then upgrade...
I guess the heat makes the exhuast expand slightly and so you dont want it touching any delicate parts. What size are the pipes on the system? 3.5" tail?
Im looking forward to it as much as you are mate. Post any pics asap, or even better, sound clip/video would be great. What tweeks can Ian do to make it louder (sorry im all new to all this exhaust stuff!)
