make sure the amp isnt permantley on. Its probably drained your battery. The remote terminal of the amp should be connected to the aerial of the car so that it only goes on when you switch car radio on, or engine is running. Have you been playing stereo without engine running?
I will have to view it at home later, work video player isnt working! Yeah sorry I meant tail pipe being 3.5" the bore is the pipe itself which is smaller. Did it set you back around £400?
Tom, is yours a 172? Any photos? from the photo above, the quality looks very good. I think the bore on the 182 system is 3.5" compared to the standard 2", but im yet to see a photo!
Ive got a mailto:K@N">K@N induction kit, and it sounds great. Im now looking at upgrading exhausts to either Prospeed, magnex or haywards and scott. Just want a bit more noise!
I think sunroof may have heat reflective stuff on it too. But not certian. My 182 doesnt have sunroof, so had to route aerial to the back of car by back window.
Here is a thread on the aerial:

Yeah it does, especially helps when going through areas with trees covering the sky. Its because of the heat reflective screen
Phone Blackspot on 01327 855 586 and ask for the 5metre one, so it reaches the back of the car (i.e the back windscreen where there is no heat reflective screen)...
It shouldnt make a difference to it sensing speed cameras as long as you had sattilite signal, as it works on GPS (global positioning system) Technology
Have you
1. updated you road angel since owning it (i.e it doesnt say please register) when switched on?
2. Got the additional aerial for...
Mine has been a bit tempremental this last week or so. Been taking between 5-15mins. I have 5m aerial which is installed at back ledge by parcel shelf.
It does work well once it gets signal though. I think ill try M1 2LTRs advice about plugging it in before ignition start up.
Incidentally...
Ive gone for the different approach. I pulled the roof lining down by my aerial stump and took the feed off the connector in the roof. Its easier becuase its at the back of the car where you want the amp to be located. The aerial only activates the remote signal when the radio is switched on...
Hi there,
Anyone know where I can get the autoleads speaker to RCA adaptor from and at a decent price? I think the model number is PC1-602
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks guys, I did a search, but couldnt find any previous discussions about it.
Ill have a look at the link and will let you know how I get on.
Cheers
Has anyone modified the cigarette plug-in adaptor for their road angel 2 so that it has a permanent live feed (e.g off live wire from radio).
I just want the wiring to look neater!
Any pics or ideas would be appreciated
I have just fitted my sub and amp, i simply removed the power steering bottle (the one to the right of the coolant bottle)
Then feel down for the grommet, and push, then get the good old coat hanger from the inside, and oull it through.
Its hard but not impossible!
All sorted now, i realisde it was saying ERROR instead of CODE for some reason. So bear it in mind if it happens to any of you lot.
THe problem was a mis-print in my log book. It looked like 8377, but was in fact 9377, i just dis-regarded it because i thought the problem was with the...
Yeah just put code in, then held down 6 as it says in the manual, then it went ERROR.
Now any button i press just beeps at me.
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting again, but no luck. It doesnt say anything in the radio hand book about the ERROR code.
I also took stereo out and...
Anyone shed some light on why after dis-connecting and then re-connecting my battery, my stereo now says ERROR when i switch it on.
I put the requested Radio code in when i switched it on, but then it just said ERROR, Reading the book, it says if the code is wrong then it should just read...
The amp ive ordered is a JBL GTO 75.2, this is a 4 channel amp, so i would have thought it would have the high level input too?
If it does, then would you recommend splitting wire on the back speakers and running it via the amp> (in other words what wires do i run to the amp if it does...
Just ordered a JBL sub and amp package, but for now im keeping the stereo standard, so im faced with the problem with having no RCA output from the basic Renault stereo. Anyone know of where i can get hold of an RCA adaptor which feeds off the speaker wire sound waves to give bass when needed...
Chers for the info guys, I hope to buy one soon, but i know there are people out there that would rather steal one, so wanted to make sure it was removeable!!
Hi guys,
Im looking at getting a Road angel 2, anyone know how easy it is to remove, as i want to avoid any thieving scum, breaking into the car an nicking it.
Also anybody know of a decent place to order one from? They are £399.99rrp i think.
cheers
Well said mate. The 172 was a legend, the 172 cup was designed for the track being 89kgs lighter, This new 182 team is simply a poor mans 182, pointless!
I drive an artic blue 182 by the way!
