not much point on a stock engine.
As Fred said, an engine is controlled by an ecu.
The ecu stores fuel and ignition requirments for a given load/speed event. the best way to describe the data is in a "look-up table", whereby for every load and speed event there is a certain fuel/ign value...
if its just for a std build, you could pick some 2nd ones up...ive got quite a few spare for e.g!
or if u want uprated items, i can supply Catcams 'H' section rods for £499/set inc high tensile bolts.
Bens without a shadow of a doubt...
To design a cam lobe profile, takes alot of understanding as to what and how you are changing. ramp angles, valve accelerations and forces, nose pressure etc etc all need to be considered, and more importantly to overall performance valve open/close...
paul, im guessing u data-log lambda (on the road) then adjust to get fuelling spot on to give a map file?

only "issue" is if your car is ph1 and the engine is ph2 (or vice versa), the multiplug for the engine loom has a different pin layout----meaning the fuel pump wont be ecu controlled. SO u can either swap looms (plenty available, check www.williamsclio.co.uk) or ammend the...
lol wtf....!
FYI there have been several cases of Kents camshafts and pulleys failing with the renault engines. its not just limited to our engines, speak to any old-boy tuner about pinto's etc.....
so whilst your corsa maybe ok, and many others maybe ok, there are failures. that is wots...

white van man driving is cool....letching at smart birds, whilst txting on the mobby, veering all over the road and, eating a mars bar :)
lol ben, u knows it....
mine should be back on the road next week also, killing me driving the van... tho it does provide good lift-off over-steer action on the way to work, and give 300miles on £20 worth of LPG, so not all bad.....lol
