Never!
I'm an enterprise user now.. enterprise OS, enterprise network, etc. ;)
None of this Apple "You will live like we say" nonsense going on here. :p
Dell PCs are pretty decent IMO.. (I sell hundreds of the things!)
The fastest processor? Quad Core Xeon's probably.. Heh. But in a PC, look for a Core2Duo/Core2Quad something like the Q6600 for a decent spec.
I finally realised after 2/3 years of really building up an Expo, they never announced anything really staggering..
The small ones inbetween are where it's at (the silent ones almost) - iPhone Enterprise for example :)
Well, "minimum" of 54Mb is not going to be possible without using some pre-N equipment. 11g won't ever be able to sustain a full 54Mb true throughput in that environment.
I think that rules out the enterprise equipment, as I've not seen a Cisco AP for example running N. You may have more luck...
And useless, which no one cares about, if the MBA is anything to go by :p
The best news they've released for some time is iPhone Enterprise, but maybe that's because my focus has changed :p
My CPU is probably rated lower (u2500, 1.2GHz) and Vista SP1 is RAPID with 2.5GB RAM.. I have integrated 945GM Graphics too.. and Aero is also very quick and snappy.
My laptop is just a CoreDuo u2500, 2.5GB RAM, and even a 4200rpm 1.8" HDD.. and it's RAPID on here :D
Like I said tho, with 1GB RAM and none-SP1, it was unusable.
Whether or not the iPhone is s**t, the PS3 is s**t, or what, I've never known anyone to decide on phone choice based on SAR ratings.. ever. :rasp:
I'm shocked, heh.
Think of the emissions your 182 is pumping out? :p
It shouldn't be, but I've always found that installing it integrated is much better. It was definetely the case with XP SP2.. if you had SP1 and installed SP2, it caused loads of problems.. (although, we installed it on hundreds of PCs so maybe it's a volume thing :p)
Nope. It's RTM'd now...
I run Vista on my laptop, with 2.5GB RAM.
It's Vista SP1 (SP1 integrated into install) and it's RAPID. :)
I turned off the effects when you minimise windows, as that's annoying etc. I just have Aero Glass on for transparency etc. :)
The effects were quick, but when I open a windows, I want...
If you only have one cable, you'll only have one feed. Sky HD works fine over the one. The additional one is for recording two programs, or watching one and recording one.
If you have one cable, you'll just be able to watch one, or record one.
Well, it depends how much you have it on.. but, I'd say almost all will last longer than 3 years under normal conditions.
It's like 25000 hours for Plasma or 60000 for LCD or something average..
So even if it's on 24/7, Plasma is 3 years and LCD is just under 6 years.. and my TV ain't on...
Erm,
You can whois any domain, providing the tld has a whois service.
whois domain.com
or
whois domain.co.uk
or
whois domain.net
etc. etc. You get the point :p
If you don't have access to a whois command line tool, just use one of the many whois web services - google for "whois" :)
That's fine - whilst you're being silly, we've managed to create monsterous config files, awesome .c/.h files.. and you've managed to, uh, launch emacs and then wait a few hours judging by it's bloatness. ;)
vim's highlighting is better ;)
Especially with a nice style attached ;)
You will not win a war with emacs.. I'd rather use echo > file and sed than use that mess. Seriously. We win. :p
