been to look at a nice ph1 today however it has two problems apparently the downpipe seal has gone and make a loud clunk under hard acceleration. also it misses gears sometimes, is the gear linkage adjustable on ph1's ???? help guys not sure if i should buy it?

Basically it's time to try and insure a 172 again. have had this problem before, which left me with a half dci/172 rotting in the garden. i'm 19 with 2 years ncd and in the position to buy a 172/cup for up to £4000 my insurance on the 172 will be £1890 for next year (best possible quote)...

i've decided to pay for my insurance over the year now, so i can put more money toward a car. there's some really nice cat d's but you can't get modified insurance on one under 2k. that's why i'm thinking ph1 high mileage, with cambelt etc done. what have you done about insurance?
