only dealers care if its an import as they use that as a way to offer you less money. I find it funny as mine is a french import, when you ask them why a french import of a french car is worth less than a french car imported to the uk by a renault dealer they cant tell you why.
172s are...
local performance car garage (redline racing) had a spell where they always had mk1 172s in, they had a red one and a yellow one in at the same time, gotts love the yellow!
I bought top gear magazine and looked for the fasted 0-60 time for under £12k Clio was near enough and the GF liked the seats so we bought it lol. Dont have any brand loyalty whatsoever. I think renault are sh*t, their dealers are sh*t and they cant seem to be able to build a car correctly...
not sure exactly what sensors you have but heat can set alarms off. I do domestic/commercial alarms and this week all Ive done is resets for PIR sensors triggering in the sun. You can test bonnet switches if you have an electrical tester. Set it to 200 ohms and put the tester either side of the...
Ive said it before and ~Ill say it again. 98 RON is no different to 95 RON. I got identical 1/4 mile times using both in similar conditions. Mine will always be run on asdas finest 95 ron unleaded.
if you take the passenger side front wheel off and then the plastic arch liner it makes it dead easy to get to the bonet release gromet, its a bit fiddly otherwise, with the wheel off its a 2 second job
well I dont know whats going on with direct line, rung again today hoping to get a different answer which you can normally do with them but no joy.
Anyone would think we had a fekkin Ferrari Enzo with the quotes weve been getting (Me 25 one accident, her 23 no points or owt) Greenlight and...
you could try using 95 ron as it gives identical performance to 98 ron.
Sorry chaps but any performance difference is in your head ;) I got identical 1/4 mile times on 98 and 95 ron and car felt no different. I tried optimax a few times and hand on heart I never felt any difference at all in...
probably allowing a margin of error so renno dont get sued by loads of people with speeding fines. We know 172 speedos are about bang on (proven on here by GPS ages ago) Cruise control will read speed from the speedo so they will have the same inacuracies if there are any
plates are worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them, weve had some proper nutters on the for sale forum asking stupid money for what are basically sh*t plates. You might get lucky and sell it for £500 on ebay but I rekon most cup owners would rather spend £500 on engine mods
theres always a softening of things as manufacturers have to make more space in the cabins, adhere to safety regulations etc. I think theres a lot to be said for owning older cars, you get more for your money for starters. It doesnt suit everyone, we need a newer car so we know its gonna start...
just been to renno in wakefield, they had that gordini blue colour whatever its called, looks well nice, no demonstrators tho. They were quoting £13,500 PLUS cup options. I personally dont think its worth it to swap. I agree with 172cup_nut its just minor changes to squeeze the last out of the...
theres way to much figure quoting going on in this thread. you cant judge a car just on its power output. a 106 gti is almost no different to a 172 in terms of real world performance
Reg vardy do renault to m8 have a beer and take some deep breaths ;)
Seriously tho cant see leeds been left without a renno dealer. If anything I bet they will be moving as that spot on regent street is small and must cost them a fortune in rent. Wouldnt surprise me if they built flats on there
