^ from the sound of it, these are still very much in development. it's just that dan has ignored the usual route of hype and drip feeding information. i for one think that when finished these should be both top quality and great value for money. and also a top piece of initiative too! hope you...
when i got my set. i asked kw about doing this, but they thought there wasn't enough room to fit a coilover in the rear. what are the advantages to having a single unit over seperate coils and dampers?
i had a faulty throttle which was a lot like that, i got lights too. although with the omex, i'm guessing you wont? but anyway a new throttle from renault solved everything (and lightened my wallet no end too!)
they must have used parts they already manufacture i guess, but possibly put them together in a different order, ie casing from one car, platform from another. although, i would have thought ast are a big enough manufacturer to be able to spend a couple of thousand euros on r&d. thats half the...
they might not be directly comparable, but since plenty of people have used the other kits they would still be a useful benchmark. from what i have heard about ast they should be very impressive for what they cost.
fair enough i guess. i've no idea of the cost. i spoke to the guy a while ago, and i know he was massively increasing the life of engines and boxes, so i thought it might work out to save a bit of money in the long run.
to get a result that would'nt just cause more fighting. they would have to drive everyones cars themselves.
then i'm sure there would be some spare time at the end of the day;)
i'm pretty sure they treat the whole thing, it just has to be dismantled for the process to work correctly. i might completely have the wrong end of the stick, but i think this is similar to forging, but via a different process. i do know that it treats all the way through the metal, not just...
no, but they can do gearboxes too. the main cost ( i believe is in the stripping/re-building) so if you are going to have it in bits anyway, you might be able to double (or more) the life of your box.
me? frozen solid are a cryogenic treatment company, they do jobs for most bttc and dtm teams. i thought i was speaking to you about them before? maybe someone else?
basically they can massively increase the strength and life of engine components, might be worth looking into?
fred, i'm sure i saw yozzasport having something to do with pgti? or was i imagining it? if not, how about speaking to them about a comparison test? would be a good read, and probably stop some of the fighting.
the r888's will go even quicker. last time i went to castle combe i had a half worn set, which became slicks on the lefthand side by lunchtime.
all in all, i had destroyed them in about 300 miles!
i was looking at a competition set a while ago, powerstation is an awesome place too! where are you based? i'd be interested in doing a bit of comparison.
