^ thats quite possible. i know that scott has opened some of the development engines and there were some that had been stroked, so maybe that is where that came from. also if you can, try to look down the inlets- twr had also started sleeving the inlets on the later development stuff.
the flocked dash is great! if only for the reason that it stops all the glare in the sun. up close it looks quite classy too, don't know how long it would look like that though and cleaning could be interesting.
agreed. i had a set of gaz, which i quickly took off and replaced. they were just too bouncy, it was as though when the ratios had been set up they needed more rebound damping.
i have driven a couple of clios with konis and pi or eibach springs, and would definately say that was the better setup.
if you can streatch to about 18k, my flatmate is looking at selling his vee. it's the one from the cover of performance tuner with 300bhp, and has had more than 20k in work!!
it was expected to be 500 or so, mark harrison has been mapping it. but it has reached a wall at about 400. the revs rise, but the output stays flat.
i thought mike had gone for a twin turbo setup, but i'm absolutely not sure. the bottom end and heads are definate though, scott was on about it...
that one has twin turbos now, and has just hit a barrier at 400bhp! the heads can't flow any more, and mike now has to get a steel bottom end and custom heads to take it any further!!
no worries, i don't know all the ins and outs of it. but i did sit and talk to someone who designs suspension setups for a living. as far as i can remember the ideal situation is for the centre of gravity and the roll centre to be in the same place, to calculate the roll centre you imagine a...
the 20mm drop makes sense, if you drop the car too far the roll centre will effectively be underground, that means that different elements of the suspension are working against each other. the ideal height should in theory be so the wishbones are level. mine is set up for driving, and it's lower...
no, a different tim. my flatmate, he has the vee in performance tuner this month. last time i saw trw1 tim's car it was still a bare shell!
but i would definately get that bulkhead!!
what do you mean fred? a vee can burn??! :rasp:
did you ever speak to ray about the bulkhead by the way? tim's car is finally finished, and the bulk looks very nice indeed!
not too sure to be honest, there are degrees of set up too. you can have them fitted and aligned, or you can go for the full cornerweighting setup.
if you speak to the guys at track developments, they can go as far as producing a computer model of the geometry of your car and calculate the...
