Evo is a refreshing oasis in a pool of stinking sh*te. Other than loving porkers, which to be honest, isnt surprising as they obviously make the worlds most evo cars, they always seem to be fair - even to extent that theyll freely admit when theyve got something wrong in the past, and now change...
I had to pay to insure a w**k Modus when my V6 was in with Renault for two days. Theyre sh*t and I will never be using Camden Renault for anything again. Two days was for an oil change, btw. tw*ts.
"My car is quicker over 130mph...which is why I bought it blah blah"
Dude, who cares? No one, just you. People forget that a clio will put a smile on your face because its fun. Fun, fast and cheap. Lardy arsed S3s are slow on the track anyway, drink more fuel, cost more to run, etc. If you ask...
On most journeys to work I usually just ride the torque, as the engine is only properly warm once I get to work...doh!
With an induction kit on the V6 though, its difficult not give it some stick because it sounds so damn good. Shame then that the kit has fallen apart as is awaiting a suitable...
Ive had mine for 2 months, and I seem to be averaging anything from 16-24mpg depending on the type of roads. My main journeys are 5 miles, so this doesnt really allow for any effecient driving!
I have had a 24k mile service at £230, but this was because Renault in MK are a ripoff and SHOULD...
201. You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 211).
Law RVLR regs 25 & 27
211. You MUST NOT use...
Exactly, as if Clio V6s have ever been about getting super quick laptimes. We all know that evos, etc will do this for the same price. So a V6 is about character, and the mk1 and mk2 both have it....what this post was probably trying to ask is: does the megane have enough character for the...
I had a Ford Racing Puma, which is the best FWD in the world (disclaimer: not necessarily true) but I got a bit bored of the rattles from the rock-hard suspension, and I was getting weed on by Ross in his 182...hang on, still am...but at least I look like I should win ;) I love cars that are...
I believe Clarkson had to pop a "brave pill" or two when he took the V6 Mk2 out on the track to find its limits....not such a different car after all then! Except that us mk1 owners are treated to the classic wayward beast, as opposed to the tamed down version ;)
[Edited by miketheman2k on 30...
The mk1 V6 is hardly slow compared to a mk2, a difference of 10bhp/ton is hardly going to make it fly! This is also assuming that youre ragging the nuts off it all the time, and dont they have the same lb/ft...?
So youve bought your 255, but I reckon the 13k I saved not buying my car new could...
1. Ford Racing Puma
2. 205 GTI
3. Clio 182
4. Clio V6 (any)
5. Integrale Evo 2
Cant believe no one has got FRP on their list? I know its a coupe looking car, but its probably the hottest handling small car ever made.
Thanks for your help guys. I used the Comma AC cleaner from Halfords (£12) and it worked very well, although you do need to give your interior a good clean afterwards, because the spray gets on everything. Thats my excuse. ;)
Leaving the Cup for 6 weeks??
Make sure you wash it out before you go :p

Whenever I have my aircon on, and to some degree, just the fan, my car puts out this old manky smell. Could this be down to the pollen filter, what else can I check?
Thanks.
