I decided to buy a nice new set of steel wheels for my Dads Renault 19 for his Fathers Day pressie. I couldn't ask him what size his wheels were as I didn't want him to now what I was up to, I didn't think it would be a problem though as I had to oder them from a main deeler as they are Renault...
 Cyber deafness? Goodness gracious me, noooooo :rasp:
I do know and understand that some people really rate 'coilovers' but on the other hand some don't. The only reason I mentioned Hubbys Megane, was not to compare how his would be on my clio, but was to compare the difference bewteen...
When it comes to 'lowering', I only want to take her down 30-35mm (have to consider some nasty speedramps we have around here that unfortunately I can not avoid). I would appreciate some ideas on some good kits (springs and shocks for front and rear) that will give her a not too stiff but decent...
Mad_barrat; I am definitely going for a body kit, it's just got to be subtle though. I don't want to go for a 172/182 look-a-like though, want her to look like a 1.6 but with subtle differences.
Loony; I have considered 'Coilovers' but after my Hubbys personal experience with his Megane, plus...
'Daytime' pic of my baby. Gonna sort out the side repeaters tomorrow. ;)
I've just noticed someone has slightly bumped the drivers door, looks like a baby trolley dimple and has got a tiny scratch to go with it. Grrrrr, another bit to get sorted at the same time the body kit gets done. lol
Yeah, just gotta love the Turismos!
Well, looks like the Chrome Lexus lights are a 'big' no no. I went to pick them up, took a look at them and was not impressed. They were covered in tiny little pitted dents and scratches, they bought out another set (they ordered two sets by mistake) and...
Well I must admit the side kit is definitely more subtle than the ones I had considered, but looks like Loony has made me do a re-think and now I will probably go for those. The front kit he suggested is the one I am going to get (after asking for opinions on that one and another one I posted...
I like the sides of that kit, definitely subtle, really don't like the rear though. The front of the other kits is the one I am getting (maybe from K-tech, where I am intending to get my suspension from) so II am keeping my fingers crossed that it will look nice.
On the 'cat' front, we...
Martin 89; It 'will' look 'nice' trust me ;) If not, like Pettsi says, I'll 'ebay' them.
I did look at the colourcoded ones, I didn't like them at all! I'm a 'big' fan of Lexus cars, hence why I like the lights and want them on mine, but I'm not one to make my car look daft (I hope) so I'll...
Well yeah, clear repeaters, but yep, LEXUS lights, but if when they are put on the car they don't look right they will come straight off and straight onto ebay, I'll just have to wait and see I guess ;)
I just got a call to tell me my new rear lights and repeaters have arrived. Woohoo! I'll be off later to pick them up and whilst I'm at it I'll go and get a quote for my alarm and cd multichanger. :D
Totally stripped? That's outrageous! I'm gutted for you. Sure sounds like they were definitely on a mission, the thieving scumbags! I guess the fact it's a total no quibble write off is a blessing in disguise really, at least you shouldn't lose out financially. I know a new car...
Glad they have found the car, abit of a b*****d that it's damaged. I am inclined to agree on the 'inside job' thing as it was found 'locked'. I hope the damage isn't too bad and can be put right easily. Thieving little s***s!
My car may not be a sport but after hearing about this I'm going to...
I agree with the others here. It sounds as if it is pretty normal, especially as you do alot of short journeys and maybe the car doesn't quite get a good warm up before you put her away. However, keep an eye on how much water she uses, as if a gasket is going she will normally start to use a...
I was not quite sure where to post this, so if it is in the wrong place could a moderator please move it for me? Thanks.
Ok, my problem is; I noticed a while ago (before the new wheels were fitted) that every so often the steering wheel didn't return to it's central position. It seemed to...
FredYozzasport; I forgot to add, I really do value you opinion as I know you are a well respected member of our Clio community. I feel honoured that you took the time to comment on my 'considered' kits. Thanks :D
I totally agree with the front one, that's the one I have now decided on (after taking some much needed and honest opinions) but I really don't like the rear one. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. Thanks for that. :D
lol. I understand your obvious distress at the fact I have chosen the other front, but, on reflection I have to admit and agree it does kind of look like it is an after-thought and just been 'stuck on'. Sorry. ;)
Oh yes, most definitely have to agree there ;) I will order them on monday then, won't get them fitted though until I have had the stereo and alarm sorted, better safe than sorry, or shoukd I say, better 'safer' than sorry? ~Gringes at the thought of getting car nicked~ :S
