No no no no NO! I flatly refuse. I like the way she is, love the way she handles and don't want that to change one bit! As for loving her more, I just know I will once I start doing things to her, but it's actually hard to imagine loving her more than I already do! So it isn't changing, NER! :rasp:
Well, the beauty of having one that's been untouched is, you get to put 'your' personality into the car. I think that's far more excting and rewarding.:D
I am flatly going to refuse to lower it, I like it the way it is, and I'm not going to go for any engine mods either. I think I've got...
Well, I'm about to get new wheels for mine too. I'm kind of leaning towards some nice Oz ones at the moment. I'm also considering a body kit too, nothing over the top, just subtle and smart. So, go for it that's what I say! :D

I would not class any of these problems as terminal (end of car) and at the worst shouldn't really cost any more than £300 MAX! Do not get disheartened, these kind of problems can happen to any car at any time, and although a pain in the butt are easily sorted. Good luck, and don't give up on...
It could well be an engine mount. It could aslo either be a gearbox mount or maybe a loose drive shaft. I can't really say on costs on rectifying any of these as prices can differ considerably depending on where you take it.

Crikey! On looking at some of the problems some people are having with their cars, I have either been very lucky with my Clio or I have all those problems to come. ~Cringes~
Ive just had another thought. When you check the fluid level, if it's low, take a look at your wheel cylinder, make sure it's not leaking. I would have thought if this was the case you would notice some uneven braking. Worth giving a look though.
Bearing in mind you admit to driving it abit hard, it could just simply mean you need to replace you brake pads. Failing that, like wxmlad said, could mean you need to top up your brake fluid. The only other things I can think of if neither of the other two work is, maybe your brake/stop sensor...
By 'sequence' I mean starting (usually on fords) at the top left and working your way round in a clockwise direction, this means you will not only not forget which ones you have done ,but it also helps to keep the gasket seated properly whilst tightening. :rasp:
I had the same problem with mine last year after my car had been not used for 3 weeks. It turned over very slowly as if the battery was almost flat, and just when I thought I was going to have to take the battery off and charge it, it started. I took her for a 30 mile drive (without lights on)...
My Husband had the same problem with his Megane Coupe and it was the Rocker Box Gasket.
It's very easy to do, especially on a ford, just a case of removing the Rocker Box bolts, removing old gasket, cleaning where gasket was, putting in new gasket along with some gasket sealant, and replacing...
Chudder? Meaning a little hiccup , misfire?
Has the car had a recent service? If not, it could be something as simple as a dodgy spark plug.
Have you ever run her low on petrol? If you have you may have picked up abit of dirt from the bottom of your tank causing it to temporarily block a...
I'm so sorry to hear about the problems you have been having with you local Renault Dealer. They sound like a bunch of total incompitent w*****s to me.
I took my Clio to Wilsons Renault in Epsom last year to have the Hazard light switched replaced as the clips broke. Whilst the car was there...
Fill her up and get someone to stand behind it. Then start her up and keep her at around 2000 revs, if there is white steam/smoke coming out of the exhaust, then the head gasket has gone, it will also account for loss of power. Its a simple test but unfortunately a costly repair. Good luck.
Ah, it probably did have Michelins then, and they are definitely not cheap! I just paid £151 for 2 continentals from Kwik-Fit. If you are pretty sure you had Michelins and you liked those, then go for them. If however you are unsure, I think the Continentals are well worth giving a try. :)...
Just out of interest what model and year is your car? I appears to me that older models were originally fitted with Michelins (like my V Reg Clio) but newer ones appear to all have Continentals. I may be wrong, and if I am , someone please correct me, but thats how it seems to me anyway.
Well I personally don't think you will be disapointed. I have no problems going round corners at high speed in the wet. I hope if you get them you will find the same. Good luck with your choice whatever you finally decide on.

I personally prefer the Continentals. I had Michelins on my 1st Clio and although they were pretty good I find the Continentals better, but I think it really is down to personal preference.

My Husband has a 2 ltr Megane Coupe and has just fitted a Coilover kit to the front of it. He now seems to have developed a very loud knocking noise on the near side even when driving very slowly in a straight line. As a passenger it actualy feels like the car has square wheels. I know that may...
I have absolutely no complaints about my Clio at all! The sunroof does give off the odd little rattle if going over a dodgy road surface, but its doesn't leak and all works and I rarely notice it much, and when I do I'm not annoyed by it.
As for the wipers going the 'wrong' way, I can't say as...
