One thing I have noticed is that different sources on paper actually say different things.
What is the quickest 0-60 actually timed in a standard Clio (172/182/Cup) doesnt matter which model coz as said its such a minimal difference.
I say it is mine coz I pay the loan on it buuuuut its registered in my mums name so that means I can insure myself under her name. This means I only pay about £600 a year on the 172.
The finance is in my name and I have about 180 months left to pay.
Confused?? I am lol!!
Some of the BMW 3 series compacts have clear lights with red relflectors in which have the same kind of look as the aftermarket lexus style ones. Not exact lt Lexus replicas but along the same vein.
There are loads of car companies who are now replicating the style of the Lexus IS200 lights. You got Mazda/BMW (compact) etc so really they are not just Lexus lights anymore.
Unforunately they are a relatively cheap mod, this means that anyone with a 1.1 Saxo can afford to bolt them on...
Each to there own on the styling mods, I have some lexus style lights on my silver 172 and I think they look good. Make an alternative to the standard ones.
Its all down to opinion at the end of the day, I like lots of things other people dont like but thats just me.
Saying that people...
On my life mate they had this on Top Gear, Richard Hammond went over to journe to some big power plant, sat in a gold coloured Golf with this big ball thing which fired lightening out of it. Obviously he didnt get fried but he did drive the car away from it afterwards. :D
Absolutely love this, saw it in Fast Car this month, if you want a smooth looking Lupo then you wont find much better.
It looks like an aggressive little bugger from the front as well!! lol
Thats a crazy one mate!! haha
Luckily it is the safest place apparently, did you see that Top Gear show where Richard Hammond sat in a Golf and they struck it with lightening? All the electrics in that misbehaved for a bit then it started no problems!
Saw a mod in some magazing where the guy can press a button and his number plates down exposing a row of halogen bulbs. Just blind the b******s!! haha
I dont know what it is with people feeling the need to compete but had some guy on my boot in a BMW 1 series. As soon as i got to a dual...
Actually that Fiesta does look a bit racing blue doesnt it. It actually looked a little darker in the flesh but well nice.
Obviously the best car there was my 172!! Purely coz there werent any other ones there haha
I did 120mph the other day which was in my MK2 172!! Still had plenty to go but it felt quick enough in the Clio lol.
I was being a wimp really!!! haha
It was on Brighton Racecourse. Was fun trying to keep the 15 car convoy together for out stand. Was a strange mix of cars, we had my Clio 172, a Clio 1.2 Dynamique, 380bhp Supra, Cougar V6, 2 MR2s etc. Was an interesting site lol
Toypop, have you ever thought about moving mate!! lol Sounds like there is a lot of crap going on, which sounds funny but living with it is a different thing.
I thought my neighbours were a pain coz they park like a bunch of idiots but at least they dont steal/fight etc.
Somehow I managed to miss that Cossie, does look damn tasty though. Its nice to see a car that you know goes as quick as it looks like it should.
So many shows cars are all looks!!! lol
Read the story mate, that is shocking. I really hope he gets whats coming to him!!
Either a bollocking from the police or a little visit round his house with a few tools. :devilish:
Hope you get it sorted fella. :)
Thats what I liked about them, rather than looking modified they looked like they should have been made that way in the first place.
The VW guys had some stunning cars, a lot of them were real Euro stylee ones. Did you see the orange Polo, deep rims, gleaming engine, chrome roll cage, sweet...
Some great pics you got Remedi, like you said there were some ridiculously OTT cars there.
Heres a couple of my favourite cars of the show, not too lairy and in my opinion hit the nail on the head with the styling...
The Porche is Tims (hes one of the big bosses) cost him £90k!!! And surprisingly he gave me the keys to move it when he blocked me in a few weeks ago.
Got taken out in the Scooby on Friday as it was part exchanged this weekend. Superb car at 300bhp and handled like nothing else, Colin the guy...
Jay youre spot on mate!! haha
I work in Bluebird place on that business park.
By the way Remedi those pics were take on Saturday, I only went for the one day. :D
Heres his boot, absolutely crazy car. If youre gonna mod a car at least make it one that no one else does!!

Another mates Supra as well...
Dunno if anyone went to this over the weekend, it was down on the racecourse in Brighton.
Not everyones cup of tea with some ridiculously over the top mods, gull wings on a Fiesta, 24s on a Range Rover etc but heres mine. Was the only RS Clio I saw there, which is nice.
PS - Yes my mates...
I reckon that looks ok from the outside, interior is just a little basic and obviously not up the same level as the RS models but that could be easily rectified.
Regarding the sunroof, I didnt think the 172s came with sunroofs?? Mine hasnt got one.
Was at the Fast and Furious show in Brighton today and saw the orange V6 kitted 1.2 that I know people have posted links to here.
You know what, its still isnt a patch (styling wise) as the real thing. Really doesnt look convincing and what doesnt help is the completely standard Clio Grande...
Take that up with Renaul head office for definate. Wether you cant get your money back or not you shouldnt be treated like that. That is a bloody p!ss take that they accuse you of lying.
Unfortunately with most aftermarket pedals you do have to drill the stanard ones. You werent to know that...
