Ive found with my Clio and the missus Fiesta that if you just put the key in and start the engine in one go sometimes it doesnt seem that happy start.
Ive found that if you turn the ignition, wait for the lights on the dash to switch off then start it, it seems a lot happier!!
What a perfect scenario!!
That probably makes up for all the other time the stupid pr!ck cut other people up.
There must be something about some Punto drivers coz one of them was headed straight for me and the missus driving in her Zetec-S. He must have been overtaking the car next to him...
Also went from a 1.2 to a Mk2 172 when I was 21.
Didnt bother me in the slightest, best thing is to just take it easy and get used to the feel of the acceleration. I was held by by the fact that I was running the engine in but if you think of it like that youll get used to it in no time!! :D...
There are some nice mods on there mate, some that I wouldnt personally do but I think its a nice looking 5 door.
Besides who cares what anyone else thinks, if youre happy with it then just enjoy it! :D
Its so frustrating how little care they take of your car when its in there care.
My car went to them gleaming and came back covered in all sorts including masses of bird sh*te they hadnt bothered to even clean off. Bunch of muppets they are mate!!
I really cant believe the lack of morals that some people have!!!
A bus hit my mates car and had a whitness who told him it had been hit, he went and spoke to the bus driver who denied it completely even though my mates paint was all over the side of the bus.
The driver was inisistant he...
Love the Roofless one, there truly are some stupid people out there.
I managed to get a shot on my phone of a Fiat Cinqecento in bright yellow but the owner had gone to the effort of airbrushing an eagle on one side and a bear on the other!!!!! I dont think they look all that...
If youre gonna mod your Clio to the extreme then thats the way to do it!! I think its pretty cool.
I wouldnt do it, but if youve got the bollox then why not! :D
Doesnt matter how good they make the Minis anyway, i wouldnt own one coz they are the most ironic cars on the road.
Its called a Mini yet its not mini, its a classic British name yet the Germans own it AND you can pay to have a Union Jack on the roof!!
I thought Id buy a French hatch and...
You have my sympathies on this one mate. That is really a sh!tty thing to happen.
Its just typical that some thieving little f***ers come into your house to take what you have worked hard for. I hate that attitude.
I always take my keys to my bedroom and try and encourage my missus to do...
Thats something I could easily forget as well! lol
My mum had the same thing, no tax reminder which basically meant she drove round with no tax for two weeks. Luckily she spoke to them and it was their fault.
The bug eyed one is the one with the big round lights which they then improved with the latest shaped one!!
Fortunately the chap I work with has a morette head light conversion so its got black lights clusters on the front. :D
I found Admiral the best for quotes, I cheated and went under my mums insurance but its only £850 when I was 21!! Everywhere else at the time were quoting about £2000 under my mums name.
I actually cut a piece of MDF, carpeted it and bolted my amp to it. Made it the right size to stop the amp moving left and right as the mdf.
Kinda like a false floore that just holds everything in place.
I know what you mean about the kerb thing, best thing mate is just aim youre wing mirror at your wheel and you can line up perfectly.
Anyone thats kerbed a wheel before is always paranoid though. I am.
Although its a 4 door doesnt look too bad, I tend to treat my car as a two seater coz no...
How come???
Ive not seen the point in getting steam cleaned unless I had loads of mods to show off under the bonnet. Always give things the odd clean up but it gets filthy under there in now time.
This is actually the second phase Impreza the one with the bug eyed look to it.
As said above though, could be a compination of things or just bad luck. Just fortunate that he had paid for extended warranty.
I know someone with a Mistubishi Galant V6 (autmomatic) which has needed three new...
I think he looked after it, its in mint condition and not modded as far as Im aware.
I think he liked to drive it hard but thats what theyre designed for.
Lets face it, nothings unbreakable. I think hes just been unlucky.
Mate I work with has a Y reg Impreza with 40,000 miles on it and its just had to have a new engine and turbo!!
Lucky he paid £500 extended warranty for the year otherwise it would have cost him about £4000.
I thought Jap cars are supposed to be really reliable as well.
Thats the classic alloy wheel parking, if you can park away from the kerb as far as possible then do it haha.
Car does look nice, that colour looks great in the sunshine.
If it was me then Id try and get one with the lower mileage on it!! Purely as youll have less to worry about.
Thats just me though, Im sure a well maintained one will be going strong on 60-80k :D
Youre way of writing comes accross as patronising and unecessarily picky!
Aggree/disagree thats up to you but express an opinion rather than just putting down what someone has said. There are ways of expressing your thoughts without sounding rude.
You really have not right to be so f**king rude!! Do you get off on offending people.
I dont think Ive come accross someone in a forum that is as patronising, arrogant, ignorant and anally retentive as you.
I work with enough c***s let alone having to converse with one whilst Im at home...
