My question having had a coiled 172 would be why the fk would you ever want to go lower than 60mm as the car becomes completely unusable on road or track - speed humps/multi-stories/passengers/bridges will all fk you over.
Stupido.
If you get 6k private/5.5k dealer then I'll staple my eyelids. You'll get 4.5k trade in, 5k private no matter how nice you think your car is.
You seem to have a new idea every week though, then back down saying how much you love your 'flamer' and how you're going to keep her. Out of interest...
Objective criticism:
Front bumper - Remove it.
Skirts - Remove them.
Rear bumper - Remove it.
Just fit 172 bumpers/skirts/wings, rest is fine. But if I have to be honest it looks pretty nasty in current state.
Well, bonnet/cage/tow eye basicallt everything he's changed from standard needs binning.
Nothing too drastic, but still ruined over standard IMO.
Oh and the tinted sun visor...gash!
Actually you're wrong, if a buyer comes asks you if the car is CAT D, in written or verbal form you have to be honest with them. There's no requirement for a buyer to do a HPI test at all legally.
It'll be a lot more entertaining than the 306 mate, worry not. Are you planning any modifications, or are you keeping her standard?
If you're modding it, I'd start by changing the springs for some Eibachs. New springs will certainly freshen up the ride too.
So if you were selling a car that was CAT D, you wouldn't openly declare it both in the advert and in conversation with the buyer?
Would you also price it for a similar cost to market value and lead people to believe it was indeed straight?
If so, you're a pr1ck too.
Of course I'd do a HPI on...
He tried to sell the car before to some guy, but Subway accidentally forgot to tell him it was a CAT D (nothing mentioned in the advert either IIRC) and then came on here harping about how much £ he was going to make on it - unfortunately the sale fell through. Then in between posting about his...
You can clean an ITG by just bathing it in a small amount of petrol, then hanging it until dry and reoiling it - Silkolene sticky spray oil I used to use.
Try cleaning the sensors if you can with an old toothbrush or similar, sometimes get oil/grit/dirt on them, failing that new sensor is circa £46 IIRC. Might be worth disconnecting your battery too for 10 minutes while you clean it in case it's logged a fault - don't forget to note your radio...
The 4-2-1 manifold is responsible for the 10bhp peak power gain, and is a good manifold. However the 4-1 manifold on the 172 is good for top end torque, but not to say it's better because it isn't.
Your list looks fine, but why are uprated discs and pads for the front not listed? If you're...
Was just looking up that Royal Estate Glaze, lying b*****d...it's £6838.50 a pot!
But seriously, check out the ingredients I reckon we could knock up something similar for £20 from Bodyshop

Performance wise mate there is nothing in it, and indeed the 172 has better top end than the 182's because of the 4-1 manifold (which is principally behind the 10bhp gain).
My 1k would be on a good set of coilovers (H&R/Bilstein/FK Konigs) and some uprated front discs and pads (Brembo HC/Max +...
Nope, my last flight was a 3.5mm though so was fine. You can usually buy them on the flight for £2 or something mind.
You'll not regret the Shure, I'm thinking of buying some myself for the Mrs.
