Just made it unpractical for daily use/commutes. Fine on smooth roads, but as soon as you try and hump it on crappy roads they're not best suited.
Then there's multistorey car parks which if carrying passengers would usually mean them getting out prior to going up a level otherwise it would...
Coilies looked great on my 172, but tbh they pretty much ruined the car for day-to-day driving, along with my stupidly loud exhaust.
Certainly wouldn't be getting coilies on a roadcar again.
Basically they put a weight in driver seat similar to your own, they then check, setup and recheck each strut changing the ride height and damping rates to get perfect balance. It's more for track cars than road, prob not worth your €.
Just get full IR/laser alignment and camber.
6K is good, but 7K for the Golf sounds little dear with those miles. My dad had a GT TDI150 was a good car, but they still have problems, design of the front window mech is flawed, both windows dropped into the door over the period of 6 months. Plastic retaining clips snap.
Hm, well the light in the ashtray thing still works ok as does the other courtesy lighting, so if that's true then I guess the fuse is fine.
Anybody know how much a new cigarette lighter is? I shall try and get them to sort it on warranty though.
Picture of my old 172:
Funky, yeah thinking of attempting to paint the door badges anthracite too, remember someone was saying they used a Rover paint, anybody know the name of it?
Was Patrick's and before that Lucas' so been a Club car for a while. Patrick put the Trophy wheels on it as he didn't like Lucas' Prorace.
Now the ICE is complete I think I'll leave her be for a while, Sportlines will definitely aid the look though, I think the multispoke design of the Trophy...
Picked up my Inferno on Wednesday, and today finished off my audio install so thought I'd take some pictures. Hasn't been washed or fed miracle shine, and the camera was my phone.
Only mod I'm looking at is Sportlines, but they can wait until the winter has passed, easier to clean the...
Seems I'm posting a new problem every 3/4 hours!
Right, my cigarette lighter seems very dodgy to the point where it no longer seems to power anything, or heat up.
Where is the fuse for the cigarette lighter, is it underneath it or in the fuse block?
Going to try changing the fuse before I...
Ah I see.
Well it's actually sub-wire so it's pretty thick, I'll keep an eye on it and if it starts going tits up I'll check the gauge.
BTW for those doing the same, get your wire and crimp it with either an O-ring (I didn't have one big enough) or a fork adapter - I simply bent the fork with...
Right undid the middle seatbelt mount on the leftside of the boot behind the carpet, filed down the paint and attached the earth (I just used decent grade speaker wire that was left over) and it now fires up.
For those with similar problems, I'd advise doing the same.
Thanks all for the help.
Sorted it all a little while ago, for anyone finding themselves in a similar situation you need to undo the seatbelt retaining bolt on the roof (same size torq as the mount in the boot). Take down the seatbelt, and that well allow you to undo the 'lock' siutation you may have found yourself in...
I know I'm beginning to feel a bit special.
Just making my way down a sugary cup of tea, then I'm going to take a pair of scissors to the fker (least that's what I feel like doing)!
Oh and the boot carpet is sharp, cutting my hands up lol.
Some of you are perhaps aware last night I was trying to find a decent earthing point for my amp, and one of the suggested options was to use the rear middle seatbelt mount (situation in boot, behind upper left carpet).
So I undid the seatbelt mount (single torq bolt) and the...
Just a quickie, wondered if anybody knew of any splitter type things for powering devices utilising the cigarette lighter.
Reason being I have a Roadangel and a Satnav, and currently no way to power them both.
Any idea's short of hardwiring?
