Download Speed: 6014 kbps (751.8 KB/sec ) Upload Speed: 377 kbps (47.1 KB/sec )
That's mine, my ISP is UKFSN for reference.

What the hell...your upload speed is superb and yet your download speed is shocking. Get onto technical support as that is way below even the conservative BT SLA...
Not heard of eVGA?
They're a bit player these days.
Ignore the clock/core speeds they're nothing you won't achieve within 5 minutes of OCing it, and BFG/eVGA won't void your warranty for any OCing anyway.
Your call, but you asked for my opinion, and given the two you posted it's BFG.
eVGA is a great brand for aftersales support, they're the only company to offer a 2x Lifetime guarantee, so the person you sell it to is also covered - must help resale.
But...if you still want to buy the most expensive brands then for price alone I'd choose the BFG.
Clocking a card is a piece of pish though, lifetime warranty is 'nice' but in honesty how often do you keep your card for longer than 2/3 years?
Also worth noting that DX10 games won't run well on ANY of the current crop of cards, so don't waste your time with worrying about DX10, we'll all...
8800GT 512MB - Not sure why you're quoting £200 for one though, there's plenty to be found for less:
This for example - http://www.shop.bt.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=4XKB
GTX is pointless since the GT was released.
The biggest point is:
1 - Improved battery life.
2 - Less heat
Solid state drives aren't currently (last time I looked) any quicker performing real world tasks than SATA based devices, and indeed last time I looked were considerably slower.
My work Macbook Pro is shite, I've had Macwarehouse out 3 times in as many months due to the keys falling off the keyboard (think of the Guess Who board game), and a dodgy RAM dimm causing Kernel Panics/BSOD every few days.
Macwarehouse = Crap.
That said my 3G iPod is still happily ticking...
not a problem on OEM anyway, when activating just call the MS line state you've upgraded/hardware failure and they'll give you an activation code over the phone.
Job done.
For the record 64Bit is much better if your CPU supports it, I ran Vista 64 but got rid of it for XP Pro x64 in the end -...
Description of crypt.dll
This is a component of Music Match. This jukebox software manages and plays your music. It also lets you create and rip CDs, and create playlists.
I'd suggest removing Musicmatch (if it's installed) if you cannot get it working. Or delete the .dll using CMD/Safe Mode.
The problems with your downloaded media not being supported, try downloading some different movies, all the AXXO (search for it on BT) stuff works fine, some of the FXG stuff I have doesn't work though.
Basically it's down to non-standardised options being checked when encoding movies.
Aye not something to lose sleep over, either way us consumers will eventually benefit from this format war.
Hopefully start and see more deals floating around for hardware and indeed the media themselves this year.
I think the biggest point people are missing is that BD is A LOT more secure of the two formats, anti-piracy is probably the biggest single plus point of moving people to new formats as they lose far too much money to ripping.
According to an article I was reading the other day, they suffer from horrible colour saturation. Perhaps something to look at when the Gen2 models come out in 1/2 years.
That said, I really don't see the point in this technology given LCD/Plasma/DLP are all perfectly suitable proven affordable...
He's the smelly dribbling guy you avoid when using public transport, I'm sure of it.
Toypop et al perhaps you'd be kind enough to send a quick email to Toshiba/Sony just briefly explaining that you feel their technology is a waste of time, and not to bother as downloads will soon take over the...
It's simple...
Guess what happens when the format war ends and things start to get mass produced? Things get cheaper!
Besides last time I looked media on both formats was identical in cost, and I'd hardly call these two massively expensive!
