My backlight has gone so in the daylight, I can "just" make out what's showing. In the dark, I have absolutely no chance. Has anybody else's gone? If so, how did you go about changing it?
My mate tried to change his. Had "major" problems with the limited space available. The nearside ones were ok but the offside ones were a complete nightmare. I was told that the bumper has to come off to change the headlight bulb. Hmmm.
kullycliosport... I agree. The nearside is ok (just). But it's a complete different story when you look behind the offside headlight. Talk about making the small things practical... not. The last thing I/my mate wants to do is take the car to a Renault dealer for them to replace a bulb.
My mate bought a black 53 plate approx. 6 weeks ago, which had 24k miles. It was up for £6,700 and he managed to knock them down for £6,300 so I think you could do the same.
In the very near future, I'm going to be having my wheels refurbished and sprayed (anthracite). This will take a few days and in that time, I will not be taking time off work so I will be using the car. Therefore, what (cheap) wheels/steelies can I use on a temporary basis? I'm under the...
My mate has just bought some upgraded (Xenon) main/full beam headlight bulbs. He had a few issues with the nearside ones but it was a complete different kettle of fish when he went to change the offside ones. Now... is there an easy or more simple way of changing the bulbs bearing in mind the...
Update...
The modding has started  But only £20 spent on some smoked side repeaters and silvatec bulbs :)
Next on the agenda... anthracite rims (like the Trophy's) :)
For your information...
There's an FSC Berks meet this Sunday in/near Reading.
There's an FSC Surrey meet on the 12th August in Guildford.
There's an FSC Herts meet on the 5th August in Hatfield.
My wheels will be going anthracite (like the Trophy's) and so I'm therefore after a set of smoked/black side repeaters and I was looking on Ebay and wasn't sure what the differences are (if any) between the models.
The ones on Ebay say they fit...
"RENAULT Clio 1 (-98), Clio 2 (98-00)"...
Problem solved :)
I was driving home today and the light came on!!! As soon as it came on, I checked the digital counter and it said I had 34 miles left before I need to fill up. I drove approx. 10 miles further, checked the digital counter and it was only displaying dashes so I'm assuming I...
I saw you this evening approx. 7pm on Park Street (Camberley, Surrey). Had the white stripes over the passenger side, etc... Looking very tidy indeed :)
I was behind you for a little while in the silver 172.
Can anybody tell me where I can find a paint code for the colour of the anthracite Trophy wheels. I'd like mine this colour and the wheel refubrbers would like this information.
Thanks :)
This is something I noticed lastnight.
I had mine and my mates 172's next to eachother. I said to him... oh my god, your key locks have been smoothed off. He then had a look at the passengers side but that key lock was still there so the drivers one is not there but the passenger one is. His...
Sorry. As Garf said... mine's the silver one :) I NEED to change the orange side repeaters. I will be looking at purchasing a set of smoked ones as I'm also hoping to have the wheels sprayed anthracite (as per the the Trophy's).
I cleaned my car yesterday but my mate (Richard) cleaned his this evening so we thought we'd take a few pics of the two 172's :) Richard used to have an S2 blue 106 Rallye and I of course used to have a black Mk2 Saxo VTS.
You can find the rest here...

Wierd. I keep thinking... now do I wait for the light to come on OR if the light's broken, then I will find myself stranded at the side of the road!!! Haha!
I "think" I have a problem with the petrol warning light/sensor on my 172.
Surely the petrol light should be on when it has basically nothing in it (as per the gauge)?
