It's time for my renewal. Well... in three weeks it will be. The thing is, I've had no reminder from Adrian Flux.
Anyway, I've been on two search engines (confused.com and moneysupermarket.com) and they've found me the cheapest quote of approx. £450, which is with esure.
So, any insurance...
Can anybody recommend any companies within Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire?
I've just been on the phone to "The Wheel Specialist" in Fareham (Hampshire) and they've given me two prices...
1. £285 (Drop the car off/Drop the wheels off with the tyres).
2. £235 (Drop the alloys off on their...
Update...
This is not a "new modification" but "clean" update :p
Due to the poor weather we had, the car was in a filthy state. On Wednesday, I had to go out and clean the wheels and windows as the bugs had taken a slight liking to the car. Anyway, as the weather was nice today and after...
I can't see why they wont fit. They may appear slightly lower on your car as you're engine may be that little heavier but to be honest... there may be nothing in it.
I had the 60mm PSX kit on my VTS and I was happy :) Ok, Spax isn't the best make but it was very reasonably priced and considering I only used the car going to and from work, it was fine. If I spent a bit of time on track, then I would have paid the little extra and got a better kit.
As for...
I am in need of one or two tyres. Lets just say one of them is what you could only call a "slick"
At the mo, I have 195 45 R16 Goodyear Eagle F1's on the rear and Toyo Proxes T1-S/R on the front.
The car is never used on track... well it "might" be out once this year.
It's always used...
I've quoted you now so there's no chance of backing out :p
About 10 of us turned up. Weather was a bit poo but food was good at the Marina?
Sorry... back on topic :)
Hmmm. I wont want to be going any lower than 40mm. So any recommendations on a suitable suspension set up? The car is used daily and never used on track so I'm after something rather smooth and not too expensive. Bear in mind on my VTS, I had a Spax setup, which was fine.
Update...
I bought a Cup splitter from somebody on here from Wales, which a friend very kindly picked up for me :)
I was going to fit it tomorrow but had some spare time today so fitted it, gave the car a quick clean and took some more pics...
Next on the list is...
A friend of mine who owns a '53 plate black Clio 172 has no interior heaters. They used to stop and start (when turned on) and now they don't work at all. He has taken the car to Renault and they said that it's a "common problem" and that it's a dash out job as the motor has to be replaced and...
What current one do you have at the mo? An open filter?
BMC are good. I used to have one on the VTS. Reasonably priced too as I seem to remember paying around £170 for mine around two years ago.
A bargain? That's like the normal price.
Oooh yes :)
Some more pics of my mates one can be found here...
