Well the car needed a good clean and so I did it on Sunday. However, today was the first time I've driven it as I didn't need it over the Xmas period so thought I'd take a few updated pics, which show the beesting aerial :D
Next on the agenda is a front splitter...
I wasn't talking about the french flag either. I was talking about the plates in general. Haha! Remember that cars registered before the 1st September 2001 are to be of reflex-reflecting material and cars registered on or after the 1st September 2001 are be of retroflecting material.
When you...
Kind of contradicted yourself there mate? I too found some "black and white" regulations on the tinterweb.
Also, the French plates were never picked up in my MOT and that was taken to Citroen so they of all people would fail them.
On some cars... yes. I had a mass debate (not masturbate) with some people about them and there are laws, which backup their use on cars registered before September 2001.
I used to have them on my VTS...
I sorted out a group buy/deal with Dubmeister and got a good percentage off as around 50 people ordered them. Haha. They weren't the new "Lexus lights" then but I think they are now.
I think I've now grown out of tinted windows. I never got pulled over by them but now with the police getting tougher on it, I can't be bothered. Also, as soon as you touch something, there may be subsequent problems (i.e. air bubbles within the tint, air gaps between the window and internal...
Well within the next couple of months, they will be going anthracite. A mate of mine did a Photoshop...
Although he did lower it very slightly too, which I will not be doing.
:)
Update...
As my MOT's not due until September 2008, instead of waiting until then for the chips to only get worse, I thought I'd pay RAC Auto Windscreens a visit.
Firstly, I asked if they could repair the chips as opposed to replacing the windscreen because it's a heat reflected, light and...
Have you ever tried changing a headlight bulb on the offside headlight on a Ph2 172? The nearside was fine but there is just no room to get your hand behind the offiside headlight.
I tried to do my mates but it was stupid. If mine goes, I might give Jeremy Beadle a call :)
I was under the impression the bumper had to come off in order to remove the headlights. I'm sure you have to remove the headlight in order to change the headlight bulbs on the offside as the air conditioning pipes, etc... are right behind the unit (as I found out).
Btw, that's on the 172 models.
I have three chips in my screen that need to be repaired. I want to try and avoid getting a new screen replaced and so I'm going to see if the RAC can work their magic in repairing it.
Btw, if windscreens are replaced, how does that affect the automatic light and rain sensor? Obviously, the...
How many different types are there? I'm wanting one for my silver 172. I don't really want to pay silly amounts of money for a carbon one. Just a nice black one will do :)
A while ago, a small stone hit the top of my windscreen and made a very small chip. This morning, I was driving to a car meet and a stone was flicked from the road onto my windscreen by a lorry. The result was a little worse than before :(
It's made a nice deep'ish crack and is a little...
My mate has a problem with his drivers side headlight. He bought some uprated sidelight bulbs and when fitting them, he removed the rubber cap on the back of the unit. Because he had a bit of trouble trying to fit his hand behind the back of the unit, he was unable to change the bulbs and...
Update...
Oh it's been a while and what a MAJOR update this is... NOT!!!
Whilst driving to Rally Day on Sunday morning, two mates of mine commented on my floppy aerial while driving along at "respectable" speeds on the M4 :) So I got home Sunday night and ordered a new one...
Yes...
