A 182 with CUP bits still has those awful wheels so still wont look as good. Plus you compared your cheaply ordered 182 with the retail rrp of the CUP. You can get a CUP for £11k from a lot of places.
Mine sounds blowy. I put it down to the lack of sound deadening in the CUP. You can hear the exhaust gasses and engine sounds more. Still not as bad as my 106 though which sounded like a milk float.
I weigh 9.5 stone so I can have the CC and still be the same weight as an average person in a non CC version. And there is only extra load when its switched on.
The CUP is over a second quicker 0-100. Thats a significant margin.
I doubt you could tell the difference sitting in a CUP interior compared to a 172. Can you really feel the difference between leather and cloth? My CUP has lovely Climate Control too.
You cant get red cups.
Id wait a year if I were you. It will be cheaper when you are 21. Maybe get a VTR or VTS/106 to aquaint you with a quicker car first.
I like the way 172 owners use the quickest recorded 0-60 against the CUPs slowest recorded 0 - 60. How about we use EVOs times eh?
CUP - 6.5
172 - 7.1
CUP is over half a second quicker. Thats a LOT!
Yes, price was a big factor. I could afford a full spec 172 but I dont want cruise control, ESP, EBD, XYZ, Xenons, headlamp washers and all the other pointless stuff. I did want CC though which is why I got the CUP when they added that option.
Its still not as quick as the cup (3/10ths quicker according to Renault, 7.1 0-60) and will be several thousand pounds more expensive and have gay wheels. Im not jealous at all.
