CAT D= superficial repairable parts, wings, bonnet, sump. All replacable but you need a mechanic, a pannel beater, vehicle sprayer etc
CAT C= a car that usually needs 'jigging' and strightening, usually structually damaged and needs a VIC check because of the seriousness of the damage, needs...
wow, i've read this thread, and I can't believe some of the false beliefs. Granted a catagory listed car will be worth less. My brother has been in the car repair business for years, he's an estimator for an insurance preferred company.

I sold my GTI 6 a couple of months ago cause my mates 172 used to waste me. I think they are far quicker
Also had a valver and up to 60mph there was never anything in it with a GTI 6, it was only the top end where the GTI6 showed its stuff

Its just compleatly wrong. Firstly it costs you a fortune to repair the car, secondly it costs the police their time and effort, then he has to be put through the court system, and for what........ a couple of quid a week

Wow, I caused a bit of controversy with the student thing. Don't forget there are lots of different types of students, full time, part time, night time,;)
when my cousin did it he was on day relaese whilst working so still classed as a student! it also covers college students so alot of people...

I did it a few years ago, I remember endsleigh gave me a real good dicount, with a further discount when I told em I was a uni student, deffo worth givin them a try, they don't ask for proof that your a student and so give you the extra discount.:approve:
Get a bank loan at least that way you can sell the car when ever you please without the astronomical rates of interest you get at the dealers.
