Looks like fused on brake dust/traffic film. Try another clean and rub until it goes (it should). What cleaner did you use?

Took it into Renault yesterday because it went into limp home mode. Got them to look at it that day and it turned out to be loose/broken injection computer housing. Replaced within the day and car valeted too. Turns out this was also the cause of the squeaking! I'm satisfied.

Anyone have any ideas? There's no reason I can think of as to why the air con turns on, but it only happens when I'm steering a low speeds (like reverse parking).

If ever I'm maneuvering to park or something that involved turning the wheel alot at low speeds, for some reason the air con turns on. Eh???
