It's not destroyed but I can't see any way to join it back on anyway. And parts of it are twisted and squashed etc
Do you know if other model clios have the same setup? A scrapyard job won't need to be a complete unit ;)
I've managed to mangle my ribbon wire underneath the steering wheel (long story involving gearbox change lol).....
I felt the steering was a bit heavier after the change, maybe my imagination so just went with it.
Cut a long story short, airbag light kept coming on and no amount of under the...

Oh right, yes air bag light goes off as normal, horn doesn't work but it stopped a few weeks ago before all this anyway. Must be the fuse or connection....which fuse is it incidently?
Ok all is back together but I have 2 slight issues, theres a creaking kind of noise when moving the steering wheel backwards and forwards and also some kind of plastic-y click when turning from one side to the other?
Indicator stalk cancellation works still mind....
Any ideas? Somethings not right
Is there a knack to setting up the gear linkage on a 1*2? Had to remove mine (undone the pinch bolt)
And now its hard to get them smooth. Which gears are selected when the selector is pushed into the positions under the car? If that makes sense.....
Where is "neutral" ?
Its ok, I realised this had happened not long after posting. It was the part of the column inside the car, that had come out of the "sleeve" thats part of the rack.
So had to undo the rack bolts yet again in order to get it low enough to slide it back in....
