Dont actually see her that much, as we seem to work different shifts. Our place has people in every day of the week from 8am till 9pm, working 8 hr shifts, so if busy you can quite easily not get a chance to speak to someone.
But I see what you're saying.
Thanks for that. Best advice so far. have never had anything to do with insurance other than paying it every year, and the lack of info provided by insurance companies on what happens during a claim is amazing.
Its just so weird. She is not a well liked person to be honest, and I would love to not speak to her if I can avoid it. I just dont understand why she hasnt come to me to say anything about it yet.
Especially as we agreed for her to get some quotes for me repairs.
Ok, you dont seem to have read the whole thread. She has spoken to someone and said she doenst mind if i pay for it myself or end up going through insurance. So that to me doesnt sound like she has claimed.
If she HAS claimed, why havent I been contacted by my insurance company yet. This...
Shame, there was a d shaped anchor under each of my seats, held by a 13mm hex bolt if i remember correctly. Sure there will be someone on here who doesnt need them.
Failing that, perhaps try a local scrappy?
Is it the metal anchor points you are after? If so have you moved your front seats forward and looke under there. Should be one under each seat if they havent been taken previously.
I see your point.
What annoys me is the lack of information on insurers websites about what happens if someone claims against you. They all have info about how to make a claim, but nothing about the proces the other way round.
See this is where I am now unsure. Wouldn't my insurance company have contacted me by now if she was claiming against me? Because where is any proof other than her word that the damage was caused by me?
So if I dispute the amount of damage she says I caused, how will my insurance company be able to check the car to satisfy themselves before paying out, if she has already had it paid.
Ah, but the message she had passed on to me was she didnt mind if I paid for it or went through insurance, this was when her car was at garage being fixed. And the courtesy car is from her local garage.
So would her insurance company not have had to contact me at any point about it if she was...
Will see what happens. If it arrives in normal post, it may be overlooked and binned as some strange junkmail. Stuff gets lost on my desk all the time, clear desk policy FTW.
I dont know, for some reason I think she is going to send it to me, or its going to appear on my desk. Am thinking of sending it back with a letter along the lines of:
Thankyou for providing me with a quote for the repair of your car. I have decided that a claim will need to be made through...
She works in the same office but in a different department, and not what I would class as a proper colleague. Certainly noone i would even pis on if she was on fire.
Thats just it. I genuinely think she is under the impression I am just going to cough up and pay the bill she has waiting to give me. I just get the feeling she is totally ignorant of how the whole process works.
If she had claimed against me, then surely my insurance company would have been...
Thats it, I had absolutely no objection initially to paying for damage I may have caused. But I object to paying her anything now as she is blatantly trying to take me for a ride.
Wonder what her reaction will be when I tell her to Jog on.
What made me laugh is that apprently on the same night someone through her sandwiches in the bin. When the other person went in the fridge the sandwiches were mouldy and stale looking so she binned them. Said owner of sandwiches fished them out and ate them.
How horrible it would be if...
Well apparently she has her mazda back now, and its all fixed. I am still waiting to hear anything from her about it since the day it happened.
Have had no quotes, no mention from her it was being fixed, no contact from her insurance company, and no contact from my insurance company over it...
I really do think she is tryin to take the p*ss big time. I can understand her being annoyed that I hit her car. But accidents do happen, there were no witnesses and no CCTV footage, and I could have driven off but didnt. I totally believe she is having previous unrepaired damage fixed and is...
Update, her courtesy car whislt her 99 plate Mazda 323f is being worked on (i resisit saying the word fixed as there wasnt that much wrong with it, at least not caused by me) is a 57 plate Jaguar x type 2litre diesel.
Not what I would class as like for like. So dare say the bill just for the...
Does a decat not lead to less mpg? So more spent on petrol. If so, sure Gordon Brown will be unable to sleep at night, counting the money he is making form the extra petrol sales.
Its not annoying enough. I have visions of a huge bill coming through. I am obviously going to dispute the damage she says I caused, because she previously told me about and pointed out damage caused by her neighbour.
I know insurance companies take every opportunity offered to them to not...
Ah right.
I was hoping it would be a case of the insurance saying they wont pay as she has had repairs done before they assessed the car, and didnt use their approved repairers. I could then turn around and offer to pay her for the damage i caused, as a gesture of goodwill.
Incidentally...
