Thats exactly what I've used, the green bottle 1. Its been on for 6 hours now, I tried scrapping the paint but didn't do fck all! Don't have a jet washer :(
I'll leave it for 24hrs and see after that?
Btw would paint stripper damage the rubber? Made sure I didn't get any on but jw!
Just got some calipers but the last muppet has painted them gold (well half of them and very badly) At the mo they are covered in paint stripped and have beeb for bout 5-6 hrs and the paint is showing no sign of coming off :(
Sanding is gonna take ages any other suggestions?
I've changed a couple of these, if you need a hand Im in Bristol give me a shout ;)
Shouldn't take more than 2 hrs max (if you don't know what you're doing) not that difficult to do imo.
I would have thought standard discs (drilled and grooved tend to crack under strain apparently), with fast road/track pads eg Ferodo DS2500 or EBC Greenstuff!
Won't get better than that without upgrading your calipers etc
Spose it does look better, drums look w**k! especially if you're trying to make your car look a little sporty, soon as anyone see's drums on the back they know its rubbish :p
My front brakes were squeeking like mad, put some copper grease on the back of the pads and the squeeking stopped...

You'll need the motor mechanism and you might as well get the door card so you can have it in the normal place as you have to take the old card off anyway.
As above really, ever since I had to take the starter out and put it back in, the battery light has been coming on randomly when Im driving but not for very long normally :S whats this all about??
Wheel bearing noise would cut out when you went round a corner as obv the pressure if off the wheel.
As for doing it, hub off, press old one out, press new one in, isn't that hard as long as you have a press or just pay 5/10 for a garage to press it in/out!
Although the dowel mountings were the same where it fits on the gearbox, the cog inside looked slightly different, maybe smaller on the new starter, and the dome-shaped shielding around the cog was definately a lot smaller on the new starter, but not sure if that would have mattered?
Its too small! The mounting bracket from my valver wouldn't fit on it because it was too wide! Possibly might have helped if I was given the bracket that fits that starter :(
But surely a starter from a 1.2 can't go on a 16v? Don't you need a lot more power to turn over a valver engine than a...
