Im thinking of buying an alpine cd changer to go with my iva-d310r head unit. Does it only need one cable to it (Ai net cable) or will i have to run power to it as well.
if there anything like the 172s the actual grill your trying to prise out is moulded into the surround, its all one piece, the whole piece of plastic needs to come off
hope this helps
Could somebody please tell me how to remove the plastic trim running under the doors inside my clio 172. Cant find any screws does it just pull off, Also where do people think the best cable run will be from the stereo to the rear am i better trying to go down the centre.
Just steer clear of the JBL ones, about 40 quid a pair they sound sh*te with the standard head unit . i know i spent an hour fitting them only to put the standard ones back in
Im trying to find a steering stalk control adapter for my 172 that will fit to a Alpine IVA-D310R , if anybody knows any part numbers or website i can get one from please help. Ive been to in car tec and all the usual sites but just cant find one..

They definately sound alot worse than the standard speakers. The polaritys right on all speakers, i wasnt expecting much of an improvement but cant believe they sound worse. I let you know when i get the new head unit.
Just fitted a new set of 4 JBLs 13 cm to replace the standard speakers in my clio sport, and fair dos they sound sh*te. Nothing compared to the originals no where near as loud and the bass is sh*te,
GUTTED.....

The TDC sensor is the component that decides if the car needs a cold start, or a warm start. This is why i had trouble starting my car in the morning. The feeling of the car holding back when cold in my opinion is that its not being fuelled...
Does the car hold back alot when running cold. ie feels like someones touching the brakes. They do this a bit when cold but mine got worse and worse and it turned out to be the tdc sensor.
When you cup develops faults like they all do and you return it to the dealer, Make sure you get a curtasy car and steal it...

Not the car just the nut!!!
My door seals are the same. The last inch or so doesnt seem to be stuck down. As for the mirrors mine to, and the wheel rubbing i think is sometimes caused by the wheel arch cover inside becoming loose and hanging down a bit. Take the wheel off and check it out.
As for build quality i am...
This is a joke right...I think clios are one of the most unreliable and worse built cars ive ever owned. Mine going back in on wednesday for the sixth time with the same fault...
My mk1 roadangel also works fine placed in the bottom middle of the windscreen. But it does take longer to get a satelite lock in the morning when first turned on, only a few minutes though.
Its for sale if anyones interested as i like the look of the new model.
