I do use Sainsburys 97 at the moment for the reason above. It's the same price here for both supermarkets (104.9 I believe). Going it give tesco a try and see if I notice any difference but doubt I will.
I've also just read the lads stopped doing the custom maps (plugging it in and sending back the data after a few runs)... I've only got exhaust, filter and dogbone (if that would make any difference) so it's not as if I need a bespoke map but the custom route does sound more appealing.
Only thing about tesco is I've heard it's normal fuel with an additive which some people say isn't good for your engine... had some research but haven't found any strong evidence either way but I know sainsburys in "pure" 97. I've filled the car with 99 today do I'm gonna give it a try for a few...
Hi Guys!
I know they're probably common questions.
If I buy a second hand RSTuner will I need to buy the remap full price from the site? (Ron 98)
As Sainsburys Super is 97 Ron will it make any difference? I don't have a local shell garage and BP is a rip off!
In the description it says...
Hello,
I need a new splitter and I've pretty much decided to get a Megane one. I have an Inferno Orange 182. Does anybody have a picture of one fitted (on an Inferno Orange Clio)?
Like this one:
Thanks
Hello,
Don't know much about exhausts but I've currently got a KTR sports exhaust (silenced centre section) and I want to unsilence it. They sell the supersport unsilenced section for about £95 but is there a cheaper way to do it?
Can the silencer be taken out of the section I have or can an...
I'm not massively into cars, I've never heard of anybody doing this. How often should it be done and where can I find out how long it has been? Do you need to top it up too?
What a disaster. Had to go and get a new socket to get the fuel rail guard off as mine was slightly too big. Then spent hours trying to get the old filter off because it was almost welded on, had to take the chisel to it in the end. Dropped the car down and reversed back but forgot to take the...
I need to do an oil change on my 182. It has about 90k miles on the clock and gets a beating quite regularly.
Should I get Elf SXR + filter kit for £27 or fuchs Titan race pro (£48) + filter kit (£9) . Will it make much difference?
Apologies for reviving the thread. I bought the larger 307 splitter but I'm having second thoughts about fitting it as I'm going to be a bit ocd about the gap. What's the lowest clean looking splitter? I'm going to wrap the centre of the bumper so I think something plain and smooth will look the...
Hi,
I've got an inferno orange 182 (2005) with a ktec carbon splitter. It was about dead anyway but after I hit a rabbit at speed it split in two. The options I see are the genuine replacement and the fabia splitter...
Tried it off the leads again this morning, still didn't work. Got bumped and it's working fine now.
Let's see if it starts on the way back from work :grimacing:
Yeah the other car was running and I'm pretty sure the leads were on right. I'm guessing quality of the leads will make a difference, they were an old pair so could be bad?
Would a bump start be better? Anything else? If that doesn't work think I'll need a new battery?
Hasn't been too bad apart from today. Will wait to see what happens, it started pouring it down so I've just left it for today, will have to try before work tomorrow.
Yeah, what do I need to do? I've already tried jumping it with leads for about 15 minutes in total, that should have done it...
Hi Guys,
I've spent all day cleaning my car and I've came to reverse back into my parking spot and it won't start. The solenoid is clicking and the fans/radio work. The car will flash its lights when being locked but the mechanism doesn't go off. Put it on my Mams MX5 for 5 minutes and almost...
Thanks, I do drive a little hard from time to time but I'm much more concerned about understeer than oversteer.
In my old car I could 'feel' the limit of grip, but with the 182 it feels like I can keep going which is bothering me a little bit.
Is it more likely to understeer in the wet with an arb?
Hello,
I have bought a Clio with a Rear Whiteline ARB and wondered what they are like for road use? I've tried to do a bit of research but haven't really found a definitive answer. I am not too bothered about outright performance but would prefer my car to be controlled (and safe) especially in...
I've currently got a Renault Sport Alpine Number plate surround on the rear and the plastic is getting old.
I think it looks quite good but can't seem to find any for sale. Anybody know what I can get one?
Hi Guys,
Just got a 182 and it still has the standard stereo. I'm looking for one with bluetooth to take calls. Ipod functionality would be a bonus. I want something that'll work with the steering controls too. I also have a 'direct upgrade' set of speakers which I don't think will make a...
Hahaha  yeah, was looking at a DA polisher too because my headlights could do with being renovated but thought better of it.. getting zymol carbon wax was tempting too :fearful:
Thanks. I've done some research and splashed out on a fair bit lol:
+ "full" autoglym set (9 bottles)
+ snow foam
+buckets
+iron remover
+tar remover
+clay bar
+clay mitt to try
+clay lube
+metal polish for exhausts
+wash mits
+brush set
Just need to put the time in now :smile:
Just bought an Inferno Orange 182 and it's pitted already. I need a full detailing kit as I have nothing except some microfiber towels.
What would you recommend? I guess anything will do the job well enough but may as well get what is recommended & tested.
